I'm interested, but only if we can't find someone else not currently in the league looking for a shot. I love to play the game, though!
ok screw #44, Dumbass Clark. First he fumbles on a routine play, and now he gets hit in the head by a perfect pass on a third down.
(I also had the craziest play I've seen in ages. So I have an obvious mismatch..I throw a screen pass on a big third down, but for some reason (the ball was tipped?) the ball is thrown up in the air about 50 feet high, and slowly toward the target. My jaw hit the floor. needless to say it was an incompletion.)
Also, fuck the game for taking Addai out for the entire game on a dumb injury. That took away all of my running game and a big part of my passing. I couldn't convert on short yardage running, ever. Not that it was his fault entirely, the Baltimore D line was amazing.
WOW!! I get called for auto encroachment (AI did it, not me) on a 3rd and 4. Now he gets to run out the clock (he was only leading by 1 TD, I could have tied) because of something the CPU automatically did! and they did it for the first time in about 20 games too. Incredible streak of bad luck I'm having..just crazy.
That's not to say I played good and would have won otherwise. I played like shit for the most part, but I should have had a chance to tie at least. Really really frustrating

GG AirBrian... everything went downhill for you after that kick return. The INT was a better-than-expected result, although I was expecting the pass to Davis... the Gore fumble was just bad luck. That was enough to put you in a huge hole...
In the late part of the game, my D was just insane... I don't know who put a motor in those guys, but they were moving to the ball insanely fast.
It'll be interesting to see what happens when the playing field is more level... (less Madden-inspired madness)

Let me know when you want to get our week 4 game done. I will be free all of tomorrow, so just let me know a time. Hopefully, we won't have the same connection problems as we had last season. I have changed some settings on my router to help Halo 3 (NAT) and it seems to have helped connectivity for Madden as well. I guess we will see.

GG, SB! SJAX is just insane. You really use SJAX well and I feel bad for your future opponents! The combination of your D playing very well + my O-line sucking huge ass was not good. You never got to Alex, but you sure did shut down the Tank. It seemed like your defense was right there when Alex handed off the ball. Oh, and I don't remember who it was, but one of your lineman on your right side (my left) was getting through every...single...time. Man, my offensive line sucks. Alex sucks too. There were 3 passes I distinctly remember where my receiver was open enough that he would've caught the ball had Alex made the throw on target. 
Anyhow, you played well. DM (or his 14 year-old cousin) better watch out next week!

But I might as well make one post to get it off my mind and to quell anyone's curiosity.
play 1- through the last play of regulation:
There were a ton of turnovers. Both teams gave the ball away, although I threw 2 INTs returned for TDs and mine were most costly than Bob's. Ultimately those plays were irrelevant.
Final play:..I'm up by 7..Bob has no TO's. He's driving, gets to the 11 yard line but throws a pick to Brackett. Gary's momentum has him running just out of the endzone, so I can't kneel for a touchback and he gets tackled at the one yard line.
(note: what makes this all the more frustrating is that I think if I just took the safety I would have been fine. I was too frazzled by the insane events and all the game's turnovers that I didn't think rationally)

1) He was up 14-0 in the secon with 30 seconds left, when he had the ball in my territory, went for the jugular I picked it off and returned it for a TD to make the game 14-7.
2) He gets the ball back goes for a pass almost picked off. Tries to run out the clock addai fumbles and I recover with 7 seconds left at his own 19. I kick a fg to make it 14-10 at the half.
Now second half is where it gets crazy.
3) 3rd quarter he is up 14-10, has the ball at my 35. 4th and 8 while being up and goes for it (AHEM!) and converts for a first down. I stop him on his next 3 possessions and force him to go for a 39 yard fg. He connects on the fg to go up 17-10 BUT WAIT, what happens? I get called for roughing the kicker so he gets first and 10 from the 11. He runs it for a couple yards, on his next play tries to force the ball into harrison. I pick it off and return it 90+ yards for a TD to go up 17-14. I call that INT karmadic justice, and perhaps a prelude as to why he ended up losing the game!
4) I throw another couple INTs in the game, he gets a fg and a touchdown to go up 24-17 with two minutes left. I drive entirely down the field to his 10 yard line. With 5 seconds left I just force it into the endzone. I overthrow my running back who looked to be open over his head picked off, but I end up tackling his defender at the 1 yard line. With 5 seconds left in the game Fifty elects to rush the ball up the middle instead of taking a safety, I hit him at the 7 yard line, he coughs up the ball. My guy grabs it, jukes one offensive player and takes it into the end zone with no time remaining to tie the game at 24.
5) I win the coin toss, and on the opening drive in OT drive all the way into FG range and hit the game winning FG to win 27-24.
This has to be the most improbable loss I've ever seen, bigger than the santonia holmes BS I got hit with in game 2. But Fifty tempted the madden gods by going for it on 4th and long with the lead and it looks like they struck back at him for doing so!

I had punted the ball twice at the worst possible spot on the field (once at the 38, once at like the 37) so when I have the ball at the 36 yard line, in the same area for the third time and with a 4 point lead..I'm going to take a risk finally. And yes, DM, I agree. Luke gave me good advice, I executed well on D. I've made too many mental mistakes for two seasons now to keep enjoying the game. If I was a casual player that'd be fine but it's too annoying because washed up now simply because I don't have an assistant coach yelling in my ear when I'm about to make a huge mistake.
Yeah, I checked the wording of the rules and what I did was technically illegal, but I honestly believe that all 32 members of the league would understand what I did was not unrealistic so maybe the rules should be changed slightly.

I can see what 50 did. I would have tried something similar. The laws of averages tells you won't fumble in that situation, that is if you are talking about the NFL here, but in Madden? Everything you think should happen, will not.

Another one i had Hurd on a slant. 3rd and 2. I ran a 4 wr set and saw that on the left side i had two Wrs covered by what it seem like one CB. the safety made his way down closer to the tackle than the WR he was suppose to cover. I hot routed Hurd to run a slant left thinking he would have separation off the line since he didn't bump and run. I was right, Hurd made his cut, had like 3-4 separation...some how, the safety that was out of position glided over to Hurd, cut in front of the slant in one fluid ghost like motion to make the int....at that point i knew, the game was over.

Rules are updated as I have received many complaints about the 4th down rules (as well as confusion)
Also, I would like to reiterate to everyone to not abuse rollouts and PA rollouts. Mix them into your playcalling but calling them on 3rd and longs or 95% of your pass plays? Come on guys... COME ON!

I beat Lone Lone beat himself with no time left on the clock. It was epic and probably the worst decision ever and the biggest case for the existence of instant karma ever.

people are filling in for the steelers because blue's system is dead and he still hasn't gotten the coffin and wont be sending it back until next week.
i didn't WANT to have replacements but by the time he gets it back he'd be 7 or 8 games in the hole (if MS's shipping times are as they usually are)
