It seemed like it didnt matter what I did, Moss would catch it regardless, or Welker would catch it because I was too worried about Moss, etc. Stallworth would catch the ball and out run all of my players. It's just ridiculous. But, that's not even close to as bad as the Chiefs would get pummeled by the real Pats. So I guess it's ok

The Gods of Madden must hate the Pats, and Livewire for not taking the Redskins. I won 37-20, and I think I would have won even without these two plays ( I didn't try to score starting late in the third, and I played soft zone D on his late Moss TD) but he got HORRIBLE LUCK midway through the game.
Play 1: I pass to Heath Miller..Rodney Harrison magically jumps in front of the ball again and gets the INT..he then gets hit, I think by Santonio Holmes, and fumbles..Heath Miller of all people picks up the ball and runs it back for a TD! The worst thing about this (for him) was that for some reason he wasn't allowed to challenge the Harrison fumble.
Play 2: The very next play, he fumbles on a KR..challenges and loses.

On Play 1 you were charged a timeout, so either you called one before I could challenge, or there was an injury and the game charged you a timeout.
You may or may not have won without that stretch of bad luck (I had to abandon the run game and had to start passing more after going from 14-14 to 14-31 in 3 possessions), but regardless, fucking Madden strikes again! :lol

i'll talk about it. here is what happened:
1st quarter: LS catches me on a PA pass to braylon who skies over both my guys for a TD. it was my fault too cause i was controlling the safety and got back too late but i doubt i could've done anything to stop it anyhow. 7-0
2nd quarter: LS fumbles, i recover near midfield, then Walter catches it and immediately gets hit... fumble! i challenge but forgot they will never overturn a catch! we exchange punts and i drive down inside the 20. i throw a freaking STUPID ASS pass with about a minute left which is picked. LS drives down and gets a FG before half. 10-0 at the half
3rd quarter: LS receivers, drives to midfield, deep bomb to braylon for TD. 17-0. late in the 3rd i get a long TD to walter. 17-7
4th quarter: exchange punts. get the ball inside the 20 with about 3 mins left and stall. kick a FG. hold LS to 3 and out. drive down the field with about a minute left and no timeouts. get a TD on 2nd and 10 to my 4th WR who is rated a 98 in speed. Guess who was covering him? I don't know, but all i needed to see was #54 in a one on one situation with a 98 speed wr. tie game. LS gets the ball back w/ 3 timeouts, about a minute left but can't move the ball near fg position before time expires.
OT: LS receives. on 3rd and long LS throws into triple covg (yeah, i manually knocked the ball down intended for bray) which is picked and returned for the game winning TD.
after the game i get a msg "Nice corner cheese" referring to my passes to my WR. funny thing is i called a slot corner route 1 time all game (the game winning TD which i honestly would have not thrown if i didn't see a LB on him). the other "corner" routes i threw weren't slot corner routes, but rather my outside receiver heading towards the sidelines.
what kind of passes should i throw with a minute left and no timeouts down 7? over the middle? 5 yard dump offs in the flats? not sure, but whateva!
LS i thought it was a good game that you should have won in blowout fashion if you would just look at ANYONE besides braylon and winslow. i counted no less than 3 times where i left jurevious literally wide open on a zone play where i was responsible for his part of the field so i could put double covg on winslow. you also ran all over my defense but stopped for some reason.
anyhow, gg even if you don't think so. sorry if you think throwing a few corner routes throughout the game is cheese but it isn't.
p.s. fuck that bogus ass clipping call on my first drive. i smelled points on that drive... of the 3 point variety!

I think everytime someone loses with the Patriots they should go down a spot in the draft for next year. 9-7 and finishing 23rd would give you the 30th pick.

Yeah, Intihar is in, he's out of town till Saturday, so starting Sunday I'd imagine he will be able to pick up playing as the Steelers. He'll check the thread, I mean the Fifty and Luke train can continue breaking hearts in the AFC if he can't take over though! 2-0 and Willie Parker has 337 yards and 6 TDs in two games with Fifty and I driving him.

GG Livewire. You did a great job shutting down my passing game with the exception of the one bomb to Javon, which was easy money with him one-on-one on a safety not named Harrison. It didn't help that on one INT, Cutler overthrew my TE by about 10 yards.
Thankfully, my running game, defense, and special teams bailed me out.
Also, what was up with your field goal? It hit the cross bar, bounced back out, and the game called it good. I tried to challenge it, but I couldn't. Weird...

Although it really came down to no running game for me. Maroney was constantly getting stuffed at or behind the line of scrimmage. I had to start passing in the 3rd quarter again because of that punt return TD and sure enough it let to two picks. It would have been nice if Stallworth hadn't have missed that WIDE OPEN play-action in front of the endzone. At least Moss understands the concept, and will be leading the league in YPC soon.
Also, the sacks by the Denver D-line are outrageous. I couldn't even sniff Cutler's crotch and Brady had at least one guy go through the line every time.FrenchMovieTheme
