A good chunk of the foam on my Live headset is missing because of my cat. I knew he had some bizarre thing about eating foam (he's victimized cheap sets of headphones in the past), so I blame myself for leaving the headset out. I do blame our other cat for putting teeth marks in the little rubberized bit at the end of my first Guitar Hero controller... (maybe both, I don't use the 2P guitar)

Guys, I've put a ton of time into the league..helping run the site, doing awards/rankings, reminding people to play their games. I'm not leaving lightly, and if there wasn't a framework in place to keep the league going I wouldn't have gone. I'm sure FMT can find a replacement player. I just don't enjoy the game anymore and it gets me way too stressed out..It's not healthy. Let's move on and you guys can have a great rest of the season without this being all about me.
Well, I can throw the deep ball again even with shitty WRs and QBs! The fumble thing was not fixed at all, though. Maybe it's because my HBs/TEs/WRs are rated in the 70s, but their carry stats are fine. I don't know wtf is up with that.Ramirez said:

Also, they need to fix the fumble-catch thing. Most of those aren't even catches. They're incomplete passes.
Just finished my game with Ramirez, saw alot of funky things.
1. The fumbles happened in the same way as always to us. Some were reversed but still way too many. We had about 5.
2. The interceptions. I played a lot of man coverage and while they weren't the type of interceptions where the LB would jump 6 feet 360 catch it my DBs and safeties didnt drop ANYTHING. More pass deflections. Its like I had all WRs out there. & interceptions. 3 which shoulda been picks 4 which shoulda been deflections or catches for him.
3. It might just be in this game but something was up with Hold Ball. I used it a few times nad my guy was ping ponging off people. One example I caught it with sean taylor for a pick in his endzone and holding protect ball I bounced off like 6 of his guys and ran it for a TD. Another example is I used it on the 20 yard line with portis and "bounced" back like 10 yards in this locked animation and lost a ton of yards (the one were I missed the FG ramirez).
Very,very wierd game.

Yea, the Taylor return was stunning, I see him enter the pile of 21 guys, and all of a sudden he's shed every tackle and is running it back for 90+. :lol
Oh well, I've pretty much come to grips with the fact that this game is a broken mess, and this patch did absolutely nothing.

I think that is pretty sad actually. I get incredibly stressed about Madden, it ruins my day a lot of times and I dread playing games after 20 straight losses. But if my system works I will never let this group down like that. I'm not always the easiest to get my games in but I will get them in.
Not calling you out for trying to make you feel bad, but I think it's lame that you quit cause the game isn't enjoyable. We all hate the game for the same reasons. We hated it the first week we started playing it. It can be a pretty horrible game at times (especially with all these freakin rules. No one used to line their top receiver in the slot more than Matrix and no one every whined about it). But as horrible as it is, it's still a chance to play with my e-friends on GAF. Which is more important to me than how much this game hates me.
First of all, fix your oversized avatar. Secondly, we used to have man-lock, so it wasn't an issue at all. There's still ways to stop it, but it is stupid when I choose nickle or dime defense and my #1 CB lines up with the TE and my MLB goes to cover the #1 WR who's a weapon. That's just stupid and would never happen in the NFL.

I honestly am getting rid of the game for health reasons.I hate the game,but was going to stick it out like I have every season where I lose a ton more than I win. I'm starting to have a flare up of my Ulcerative Colitis *look it up if you don't know what it is* and it would be wise for me to drop out of the league. This might sound weird,but stress is a major factor in causing my disease to start to flare and lately all I get from playing this game is stress. It's not the main reason for my flare up,but it's not helping matters.
Laugh all you want,but I'd rather not get really sick,if it makes some of you angry in the long run,I'm sorry,but my health is more important to me than some game.
That's the honest truth.

i've never given anyone a hard time about quitting. i don't WANT anyone to quit, but if you don't want to play or can't then so be it we'll figure something out. good luck fellas!

Two good games just now. I managed to beat Bob 44-34. Never has anyone had that much success against Jets D. Luckily I wasn't totally inept on O.
Managed to beat Birdman 23-7. He has a great D, but I managed to exploit his safety play a few times. Good addition to the league tho.
Now for games with Ando and shawn starting tomorrow.
I can fill in if need be as well.

Thanks, Wellie. GG but I swear I was in position for picks (or at least deflections) those few times you beat my safety, but I guess I didn't hit the button quick enough. I might have to think about switching positions on D because I was definitely not a factor at all.
And to the next person that complains about their O-line....try playing a game with the Dolphins!

And I can understand why quitting the league is best for you. Last year when I was going through all my struggles with not working due to the injury/surgery I had on my arm this game would totally bring me down. And I was already pretty freakin down.
And I don't have a problem with Fifty quitting either. I just think it's odd for someone that is pretty high up on the Madden pedestal to jump ship that's all.
And if people are quitting just cause they don't like the game (while they are consistently losing) then it's hard for me to feel sorry for them cause I HATE losing every freakin time I play this game.
We should look back at last year too. I best I haven't won 5 games total since we moved over to the 360. That is sadness right there my friend.

Anyway, new topic. Fuck Microsoft. My Madden disc, which has worked fine all season, just stopped working. It would just sit there in the disc tray with the 360 "reading" the disc. I take it out to see if there is anything wrong in the disc and lo and behold, there are not one, but two fucking cracks coming out about half an inch from the center of the disc. This game has only been in the case or in my 360, as I take really good care of everything I own.
Does anyone know any way that I can get this replaced without having to purchase a new copy of the game?!?

I'd like to thank Luke for telling me not to quit and to give up. I agreed to play my game with him and I actually won. I finally unlocked the 80% completion achievement after the game (18/20) :lol I got real lucky though..he fumbled at the 1 yard line! I won't feel guilty over that because I've had some ridiculous luck in the past..I played smart enough. Only one INT thrown.
I'd also like to add that Joseph Addai must be the most fragile back in the game. He's been injured in every one of my games, and in this game he got hurt twice. Did the developers not realize this game has a ridiculous amount of 1 qtr long injuries? It's just silly.
Now my next game is against super conservative, unblitzable FMT...If I can win that I'm right back in this. Big IF though.
