I have some bad news. The Fall Update bricked my 360, 3 red rings! So it will be at least 3 to 4 weeks before I get it back. I am willing to make up any games I miss as long as FMT lets me. This sucks! Sorry guys.

any update on the power rankings? I saw the awards went up. Also how come the player stats haven't updated since the 5th, thought they went every day. Also the note on the game of the week is wrong, Pats lost to the Raiders.

I shouldn't have played my game so early...

Details, schmetails. Last week had the wrong team logos for over a week! I really tried to give another player offensive player of the week because I didn't want two Packers up there, but the offensive production for the NFC that week (for the winning teams) was horrid. I've seen FMT give multiple Broncos awards before, so nyah!

It's fixed. :p

Malley, thanks again for helping my Bills reign supreme in the AFC.:D My 360 should be back on Tuesday, I'll try and keep the momentum going.

Question about the WR swap rule. There are certain formations, Shotgun Trips in Run n' Gun, that line up the primary receiver in the slot. How do we handle situations like this? Do we sub the WR to the outside?

Good to be back, need to catch up on the drama.

#1 WRs lining up in the slot isn't banned. It's just that having them there all day or in the TE slot is pretty frustrating. It happens in the NFL often, but not all day. And, in the NFL, you can bet the farm that a defense will have their #1 CB on TO all day no matter where he goes. That's not possible in Madden.

And what was EA thinking with the system in place, anyway. If you call a nickel defense after seeing 3 wideouts and it turns out that they're in bunch on the left side, you'll get 2 CBs covering the first and second receiver, but the third will be covered by a LB and the #1 CB will be covering the TE on the other side. Even if they won't give us man lock and the third CB is on the #1 WR, it would be a lot better.

...and wtf is wrong with EA? It's not like they never heard of man lock! >:|

Anyway, I haven't seen any deliberation from FMT in the league rules page. All I've seen is the poll.

Thanks for the clarification Rors. I agree with everything you said. They need to straighten out manlock next year, and bring back defensive assignments. I'm sure they will, EA needs "new" features for '09.

There's a bright future in that avatar. Look at how long it takes between him getting hit, getting up, and celebrating. That's because he just threw a 90 yard TD! Cannon arm! And there's a rich history in the Raiders. All the Vikings have is AP (who will be Bo Jackson'd), a history of failure, and Brad Childress. Good luck!

I got my new (refurbished?) 360 today. I miss the shiny DVD drive of my old XBox but I'm glad to have a 360 again. If its okay I'd be more than willing to take my team back or even another team if someone has fully assumed control of the Steelers.

If not well, I guess I'll wait until next fall!

I can't believe I lost this game.

I'm up 17-10 late in the 4th, fucking jump pass to edwards in triple coverage for 40 yards caught on a 4th and 17 pass.

Then lonestar has 4th and goal from the 3 and scores. Fine, that was a decent play.

I get the ball back. Get into FG range. I throw a pass for a 1st down at the 21 with 1:20 left. I GET CALLED FOR CLIPPING, BACK 15 YARDS OUT OF FG RANGE. Then I throw an INT and the game is over.

PS: It's strange. Rex, a former Florida QB, and Jason Cambell, a former Auburn player, were taken out, not just in the same game and same injury, but both by former Alabama Defensive Lineman. #96 Cornelius Griffin for Washington, and #97 Mark Anderson. REVENGE PERHAPS???

Even stranger yet I believe all of the auburn players selected in the first round that year went out with knee related injuries this year (campbell, caddilac, rogers, and brown)

That damn pass to JJ was deju vu all over again.

4th quarter lead, late in the fourth quarter. Heave a prayer pass on 4th and long and the receiver miraculously jumps in the air and catches it in triple coverage.
