Now I don't feel bad since I'm not the only one that has problems with Yoshi Falls. I still don't quite understand how to tackle that stage. Powersliding in the water usually works against me lol

So what's good to do? Powerslide often and then hold it once the yellow flames/sparks come out or immediately release once you got that to happen?
