Wasabi: Oh, I don't doubt that you picked up on some things... me going for comfort areas of my playbook most of the game didn't help either(although I don't think we've played enough for you to really tell... CK has).

It's just that ANY time I had something going it crumbled before me. That was far worse than simply getting smacked around... because at least I'd know I never had a chance. For the record, this is the first time I've been shutout in Madden. Not even the Rorschach Patriots achieved that.

... and that 15 yard facemask call was just salt in the wound, and when Madden decided it'd give you that last pick, the lemon juice was flowing and I couldn't take it anymore.

Oh yeah, one last thing... what'd you do to your D-line in halftime? All of a sudden I simply couldn't run anymore and it freaked me out.

Even though the numbers don't really back it up, the Panthers' Dline is by far the most dangerous in the game. The D is the most overrated in the game, but the team is beatable if you can contain the offense and just keep pounding away. Throwing is very difficult with a Dline that just makes yours collapse. If just one extra guy is sent in on a blitz with the panthers, it's all over. Against them, I wouldn't try to go for 10 yard outs (you know the ones I mean ;b) too much. You have a great running oline and a great fullback. When I play someone with great D, I just slow everything down and try to play as mistake free as I can. Whenever I falter, I get blown away.

Atleast your Running Back didnt fumble without anyone hitting him on a gamewinning drive. And the only reason said running back was in the game was because the first sting RB was injured. And he was being run in the first place because your qb was injured as well.

There's a shitload of gunners out there, holy crap. I couldn't defend against Bird Bomb whatsoever but I still beat him! And yet my opponent's score average is the lowest in the league.

and apparently I have gunner number two tomorrow night!

i just want to make the following known:

me and bob played our game early (redskins vs. steelers) with the intention of entering the scores later. here is what happened:

* I beat bob 38-14
* Bob had numerous breaks, including 2 of my guys dropping INT's and tipping it to randel el for a 30+ yard gain, his TE fumbling out of bounds, randel el making 5 receptions on one desperation drive, most in at least double coverage, some in triple zone coverage, and so on
* i had some breaks too, including absolutely blasting the FUCK out of his RB as he tried to "juke" me @ the 5 yard line heading into the endzone. he did fumble (as he should of). i'm sure he will complain about that.
* he injured santana moss for the game, but i still passed for nearly 300 yards.
* he would call bear defense, control the safety, and sometimes simply move the safety COMPLETELY out of the middle!

after all this, i let bob call a mulligan and i wont count the game. the bottom line is his defensive play calling is high risk, high reward. you want to know why you are 2-4? you blitz too much, you move your players out of position, and you don't have enough meaningful runs. so the next time you blame someone for "bad luck", you should probably examine your playcalling before anything else

p.s. yes i am going to beat you just as bad in the rematch. you couldn't do anything once i started covering heath miller myself

I didn't realize this til midway through the 3rd game, as many players I played took advantage of the fact that I have no offensive line with the Texans. The 3rd game though, was the Bucs, and he was blitzing the hell out of me, but the game was still close until the very end. Finally, in the 4th game, I would see him blitz Polamalu, leaving the other safety to cover either Clayton or Galloway


As you all know, Galloway can and will beat his defender, so it's up to his safeties to pick up the slack. If the safety was playing towards clayton...GOODBYE.

I gave up 9 sacks, but was never in any hurry, and a lot of the sacks game on me trying to do bootleg QB plays. When I called Play Action plays, if he didn't get through right away, it was normally going to be a completion.


NOT TO MENTION HE ONLY RAN SIX TIMES!
