Hearing rave reviews from the first practice earlier today where the Eagles had all three corners on the field playing together. They played around with a few schemes where Asante played LCB, DRC played RCB, and ASO played the role of Charles Woodson in the dime package.

I really hope that they keep all three.

I really think they will. It sounds like Juan is really pushing for them to keep all 3, and it would be really hard to get equal value back for Asante.

I just got back from Ravens practice at M&T. There were probably 20,000 people to watch this first public practice of the new season.

Torrey Smith stood out as the one the guy who looked like he was ready to play. Right now he's going to be seeing pretty significant playtime, so it was good to see him snatching balls out of the air.

It obviously means a 32 team tourney for the SB in the future guys. I mean how can we let these awesome teams like the Lions and Texans keep missing the playoffs.

Well what else you want me to talk about?

And here I am talking about actual players, pro-bowlers, dream teamers, and superstars. Not some lowly rookie who makes a play one day in camp.

thehawk38 Dashon Goldson
Anybody make any of #49ers TC practices? If so, who tearin it up? Hold the negative replies plz...thanx

now i kind of feel sorry for Dashon :/

he overvalued his worth around the league and we called his bluff. i'm a harsh critic of him, just like any niners fan who has watched him on a consistent basis, but maybe in our new defense he could "do a 360" as emmitt smith would say.

Goldson tweeted that about his former team?

yeah. pretty obvious he wants back and has wanted back. he was probably listening to rosenhaus in his ear about how much money he was going to get this offseason (eric weddle money!). now he is a man without a team!

Which Steelers? Harrison could play a thug who Batman has to beat up.

Wait, the fucking Mayor is in the scene too. Fucking Pittsburgh.

http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/11218/1165747-100-0.stm

Decked out in the Rogues' colors of black and gold, thousands of fans cheered as some Steelers, including Ben Roethlisberger and Hines Ward, appeared, playing members of the Rogues. Bill Cowher returned, prowling the sidelines in his first coaching gig since leaving the Steelers after the 2006 season. Kevin Colbert, the Steelers director of football operations, is reuniting with Cowher as an assistant coach for the Gotham Rogues.

lol

Mayor Luke Ravenstahl is dusting off his college skills and playing a kicker for the Rapid City Monuments, the Rogues' rivals. That may have been one of the reasons he was booed when one of his practice kicks did not go well.

A 2003 graduate of Washington & Jefferson College, he was a kicker there during his student days.

No Terrible Towels were in evidence, since they bear the distinctive Steelers logo which is banned for the day. Instead, fans were given gold hankies to wave and, in keeping with gridiron tradition, the national anthem was sung.

On the kickoff, Hines Ward received, blowing past the mayor as he returned the kick. That scene was repeated many times over about three hours, with the fans putting on coats they had been instructed to bring to simulate the cold during each take, then taking them off between to try to cool off in the muggy weather. Shortly after noon, the kickoff scene was done and setup began for a special effects scene.

Coach Omar should use this.

Pats rookie Ras-I Downling was injured in his first practice, and he hasn't practiced since. Normally I would't care about early injuries to rookies, but Ras-I has a history of injuries. Just one thing to keep an eye on as a Pats fan.

So Landry's injury might be more serious than I thought. How about getting Taylor Mays as a possible replacement at SS? Im sure we could trade a late round draft pick for the guy. What say you 49ers faithful?
