I just got double-fucked by Gates and Brees there. Looks like Sickboy's gonna hand me my first loss eventhough I've scored the most points I have all season. Giants need to learn to play some fucking D. This is fucking San Diego. They are looking like a powerhouse right now. Completely inept D by NY. :( PEACE.

Earlier in the day I was wondering if I did the right thing benching Vick... after the morning/afternoon games, though, I liked the way things looked on the scoresheet. I'm always a bit concerned by the live scoring though, 'cause there's always room for mistakes... e.g.: Derrick Brooks had three tackles today according to NFL.com (no points on live scoring)

Note, that was a weak-ass PI on Burress.

Big names? :lol Can you name anyone on our D outside of Strahan? :lol Of course you can now that you've seen a game, but that's besides the point.

Well one of my best friends is a die hard Giants fan so he hypes up pretty much every player they ever get. I am probably getting this info from him. Damn, it seems like only yesterday he was telling me how Sehorn was going to revolutionize the cornerback position. :lol

Surprised it took that long for a Plax pass interference, maybe he is going to be smarter about when to push off.

ruh oh Bills fans:

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (Sept. 25, 2005) -- Buffalo 's defense was dealt a huge blow when linebacker Takeo Spikes injured his right Achilles in the Bills 24-16 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Following the game, coach Mike Mularkey wouldn't speculate on the extent of the injury, saying he'll know more Monday. If the Achilles is torn, it is a season-ending situation.

"That could be devastating," safety Troy Vincent said. "He's the pulse. I don't know how bad it is, but it could be devastating."

Spikes, an eight-year veteran and two-time Pro Bowl selection in his third season with the Bills, was hurt in the second quarter when he was pressuring Atlanta quarterback Michael Vick deep in the Falcons' end. He lay on the field face-down for a few minutes and then slammed his helmet to the ground in frustration after he rolled over. He required help getting to the sideline, unable to place much weight on his right foot, and appeared to be in tears when he was carted off the field.

Huge blow if he's out for the year...

Well, if it wasn't over before, that fumble ended it.

I feel bad for Eli and the offense, because they played really well for the most part. If the defense played even just a little bit, this would be a very close game.

So in short, I still hope people start to stand up and notice that this Giants offense is no joke, even if their defense played like one tonight.

The Giants might have lost, but Eli should have shut up most of the doubters. He played extremely well today, and considering he hasn't even played a full season, it's a really good season.

LT is fucking sick though.

LT: 22 rush, 227 rush yards, 3 rush TD, 1 rec TD

HOLY SHIT

edit: Another holy shit...Astroladders (I think that's Archaix in the Gridiron Gaffers league) has both LT and Steve Smith...that's like 60-70 pts right there.

You are asking people in a NFL thread to be reasonable.

That will happen right after Duce admits the Eagles lost to the Panthers in the NFC Championship without the aid of superdrugs or me admitting that Tom Brady is not the spawn of the devil.

Our oh so accurate ESPN announcers have informed us that the Giants have no road wins this season. Hmmm...

NFC East
Team W L T PCT PF PA Home Road
N.Y. Giants 2 0 0 1.000 69 29 1-0 1-0

LT is Lawrence Taylor

Ladainian Thomasis coke-free LT, or CFLT. could also be jail-free LT, but JLFT just looks gay.

I never said it was tough. It still counts, especially after what a big deal they made out of it being a Saints "home" game.

Astro has him in GG...he also has Steve Smith and Tory Holt!

I thought Archaix and Astro Ladders were one in the same? Maybe not, heh. ANYONE GUESS WHO'S 3-0 IN THE GG LEAGUE? That would be me. And I am alone at 3-0, averaging 115 ppg :D

ESPN needs to check their standings. They gave us a list of undefeated teams which, for some reason, didn't include the Redskins.

I think they saw Redskins and 2-0 and the guys in the back looked at each other, laughed in disbelief, and left them off :P

How much money do these network statisticians make anyway? The ones for MNF are just as annoying with the obscure shit they pull out of their ass that don't really mean anything.

Speaking of that game. Giants fans showed some real class. Eagles fans get so much shit for being nasty but its really just that entire area. :)

Some boorish Big Blue die-hards pelted New Orleans Saints fans with tasteless taunts about deadly Hurricane Katrina during Monday night's game at Giants Stadium, several fans said.

"Where's your swimmies? I hope you have your swimmies!" one ignoramus asked Diane Dias, 46, who splits her time between homes in New Orleans and New Milford, Conn.

"You deserve what you got," another said. "New Orleans people are stupid."

FIRST PLACE IN THE NFC EAST

WHO NEEDS OFFENSE

Well, obviously that was Eli's best game as a pro. Y'all get ready for more of that. The SD offense was just really clicking and was 2 or 3 steps faster than the Giants' D.

And to all the Charger fans that made your cute little anti-Eli signs and booed like the Iron Shiek was playing QB: be happy with your draft picks and fluke season and try not to think about how even if you make the playoffs (not happening this year with that schedule) your coach is physically incapable of winning a playoff game.

God I hate Salsbury almost as much as I hate Brady.

We will have our revenge though (hopefully it is on the road, we seem to play better on the road for some reason).

Amen. Though it was a tough loss I am encouraged by it. Eli is looking sharper every week, and with that offense finally getting a decent line, we could be something special. My only concern now is the defensive play. It's clear that the zone plays they are running are NOT working, why continue calling 'em? I thought we would have matched up well enough in man to man coverage except for on LT. But in that case just double him with the man that's supposed to cover Neal, who rarely gets a carry.

This is the best offensive team I have ever seen the Giants put on the field. I hope we are earning our respect around the league.

You know, having just watched the Eagle highlights reminds me just how annoying it is for all these teams that magically show up wearing black jerseys. Eagles, Ravens, Jags, Lions....give it up, Black isn't you and it doesn't make you cooler. If you hate your colors so much, you shouldn't have come up with schemes that suck so much to begin with (actually, the old Lions ones weren't so bad.) You missed the boat, you should all be forced to now wear original Buc orange.

I can't believe the Bengals are 3-0, I've had to sit through over a decade of pathetic starts. I don't even care if they get destroyed in the playoffs, just getting there would be enough for me.

Dude, I definitely feel the same way. After having to cringe my way through the Shula/Coslet/Le Beau years, Lewis has finally whipped the team into shape. The fact that people are even considering "Playoffs" in the future has me excited as all hell.

Plus, the defense is starting to look better and better which was my main sticking point in the team this year. The offense has been strong for a couple years now, but it finally looks like the secondary's getting to a competitive level.

Agreed, although black is one of the Ravens' colors, so they're off the hook. The Lions in particular need to stop screwing up a good thing and get rid of all the black.

True, but then the Ravens commit the sin by wearing the black on black combo. A sin started by the Saints I believe and then followed by the Jags. I hate the monotone look.

Atlanta at Buffalo- It pains me to pick against my Falcons, but I don't think Vick will play, or that he even SHOULD.
Carolina at Miami- I like the Dolphins, but c'mon. The Panthers beat the frickin' Pats.
Cincinnati at Chicago- I think Carson Palmer stole Peyton's mojo, and he wants it back. Bears D can't save them from this.
Cleveland at Indianapolis-Who does Cleveland have on their team again? Gonna be a long season for Romeo Crennel.
Jacksonville at N.Y. Jets- I still think the Jets suck.
New Orleans at Minnesota- Will Culpepper have more INTs than the Vikings have points scored? But I bet he still doesn't miss Randy.
Oakland at Philadelphia- Tough luck for Oakland, they should have won that game last week(BS call on that Moss push off). Westbrook well on his way to an MVP award(oh yeah, I'm callin it- over 1000 yards rushing and 1000 receiving with around 20 TDs).
Tampa Bay at Green Bay- Cadillac. Nuff said.
Tennessee at St. Louis- I flipped a coin on this one. The Titans aren't very good, but come on. The Rams lost to the 9ers. :lol
Arizona at Seattle- Arizona lost to a team that lost to the 9ers. :lol
Dallas at San Francisco- The Cowgirls are gonna air it out against the 9ers after their pitiful, conservative display earlier tonight.
New England at Pittsburgh- Tough call. I don't think Rofflesburger will continue to play this well, but at the same time the Pats are in the middle of one tough stretch.
N.Y. Giants at San Diego- Week 2 of the Difference Maker will make a difference.
Kansas City at Denver- Denver is freaking terrible. I wouldn't let Jake Plummer babysit my fictitious child.

Bonus prediction: The Ravens will somehow find a way to get worse this week.

*hangs head in shame*

Man. Eight right so far, and my Falcons stuck my nose it in it this week. I promise I won't pick against you again until you're playing someone demonstrably better than you, boys. Promise.

Wow i did great this week!! 12-1 so far.

Well, I'm not about to read through every comment, but the Steelers absolutely got their asses handed to them. That was a miserably played game. Defense was pathetic, offense couldn't get a damned thing done, play calling was laughable, and special teams....fucking special teams.

Special teams are the reason the Steelers lost to the Patriots in the AFC title game the first time. And here we are again, four years later, still with shitty special teams coverage against this team.

Oy.

I'll be back in football mood come thursday or so.

Oh, fuck you guys. I've got to let this stink set in for another week, the Steelers have a bye in week 4.

Damn, the Patriots beat the shit out of the Steelers.
