It was a comment that I made back in the official NHL thread after I heard about the loss.
Oh, I missed that. By that point in the game I was dangling myself over the ledge at the Xcel Energy Center. :lol

Dude on "Leafs Lunch" just said the Leafs need 52 more points in the remaining 36 games to reach 91 points. That was enough to get 8th place last season.

So that means 52 points out of a possible 72 remaining points when so far they have 39 points out of a possible 92.

They're done.

Well, my team decided to end the season in spectacular fashion by setting an NHL record. This epic fail deserves a Staal face.

Have fun on the links, Canes.

Thank you for the sack lather, brought a smile to my face that I was sorely needing given the last few weeks. You guys in the hockey thread give me a sort of family feeling, like a bunch of brothers. Sure brothers fight a lot of the time, but in the end we all love each other. Home life fucking sucks right now, in a rut don't know how to get out of it.

Just use your usual left right combo. That should shut her up.

Just watched the draft lottery and I have to say Double-B is a visionary. The draft has been solid since Ovechkin came in 2004 so this year is bound to be a bust.

Speaking of bust, I really want to smash Hall's fucking face. He looks like a total loser/punk who needs to have his ass kicked. He's gonna fold up like a cheap suit in Edmonton. The other dude Seguin will probably turn into a sold 25-30 point man and play on someone's 3rd line for years to come.

Kessel is better than both those dudes.

Watched Double-B's state of the union address today, I'm even more pumped that I was just 24 hours ago for next season. I believe the Leafs can make the playoffs next year and so does Double-B. But please, if you think you know more than Double-B, feel free to laugh and object. You're wrong.

Whatever happens, this year's playoffs might be one of the most exciting ever! So many of the top tiers will start to choke, it'll be awesome to see their prospective comeback of asskicking.

That said; Manics, a hug would do?

The Panthers have the third pick in the draft.

Excuse me while I go in the corner and cry. If David Booth didn't have two concussions during the season, things would be different...

The Stars have been informed that free agent Finnish goalie Jussi Rynnas has selected the Toronto Maple Leafs, Stars GM Joe Nieuwendyk just confirmed.

The Stars were among several teams that wooed Rynnas, and Nieuwendyk said he feels the team made a good pitch.

``In situations like this, you tell them about the positives of your organization and you're honest with them and you let them decide,'' Nieuwendyk said. ``He decided Toronto was best for him.''

The Stars maintain the strategy that they do not want to force a decision from the player, that they want the player to choose the Stars happily, and they took the same attitude with Swedish free agent goalie Jonas Gustavsson. Gustavsson, of course, picked the Leafs over the Stars last summer. Toronto has a more aggressive strategy, and GM Brian Burke has been able to make that work in these two recruiting instances.

Sorry Joe! Double-B bests you again!!!

So does this guy play for the Marlies or is BB trying to move Giggy out of town?

I think Burke brought Giguere in just to stabilize the team and give Gustavsson a model of success to follow. Giguere's contract expires at the end of next season, I don't think he'll be back.

Straight to the Marlies. Seems people believe he's a few years away from the NHL. He's very raw.

Marlies first to learn the North American game. Insurance since Jiggy is in his last year coming up. If this guy can progress then we have options going forward with Gustavsson, Reimer and now this dude.
