Takuhi said:You can always go back for spells. I know exactly where the one you missed is—it's an optional area and you may not have gone there at all yet. There are VERY few spells you can buy in shops later in the game, so don't count on them to fill in your blanks. The missing spell is inthe Numara Atoll (accessible via the Slantnose). The enemies there are unbeatable at your level, but they're all very slow and easy to run away from if you want to get the items there.
All I remember doing with it was putting it on the moving platform so the other one would go down, and there was an item there. But maybe there is more to do there during Disc 4. I'll give it a try tomorrow.Orodreth said:Would like to know too. At first thought you needed it to move it to the door in the other hall with the stairs.
I also used it to the get that item... what I don't know what that item is for. Any hint?Blimblim said:All I remember doing with it was putting it on the moving platform so the other one would go down, and there was an item there. I have *no* idea what the item was since it was written in Japanesemasterkajo said:I also used it to the get that item... what I don't know what that item is for. Any hint?

Jansen and that Numara general guy. However, now that Ming is in the party Jansen seems to be becoming a more serious character. I might end up liking him by the end of the game.

I just teared up on one of the Thousand Year of Dreams, the one titled "Don't Forget Me Now, You Hear"?
Damn.....
you have to activate the dohicky(lift thing) that took you back to the forest. The one at the farthest northeast of the map. After that you should be able to use the lifts.purg3 said:In the crimson forest, how are you supposed to use those circular lifts to get to those items? I already beat the boss and have Mack in the party but they aren't doing anything when I stand on them. What am I doing wrong here?

You cant race through it because of the way the experience point system is set up. It wants you to fight a set number of random encounters per area, and if you dont, you run the risk of being underleveled when you encounter a boss. It also doesnt allow you to race through areas and then simply farm experience in a single area if you find yourself underleveled. Instead it forces you to backtrack from one area to the next to the next if you need to farm a significant amount of experience. Worse yet, then you have to double back yet again to get to where you were going in the first place and slog through random encounters that give you virtually no experience points.
Its a terrible way to scale the difficulty. Its designed for people who actually like to wander around empty environments looking for piles of rocks to kick over in the hopes of finding trivial items that theyll never need. And it forces fast players to play the game slowly throughout.

I'm supposed to find some sort of gem to put in the mirror. Where is it? I doubt this is too difficult to solve, but it is frustrating me because I get the same stupid fight with those ghosts every 10 steps and it takes forever, even fleeing.

My brothers had a weird smudge on it as well, it wouldn't allow him to get past the beginning of the game, it would freeze again and again. I'd exchange that if I were you to avoid future problems. My brother went and got a new one without the smudges, and now it works fine.supercake said:Ok, this is very strange.
Just got back from Bestbuy, and Disc 1 and 4 have obvious smudges on them. Now, can this be because of the packaging? It's very strange, they don't look quite like fingerprints either.
Now, can this be a factory thing, like a laserburn? I don't think it's due to BB, that wouldn't make much sense since it just came out, but is that possible?
Sorry about the odd question, PM me if needed so this thread doesn't get sidetracked.

You can still succeed if you're underleveled as long as you're skilled. You can go through the game quickly by spending the shortest amount of time possible.GremlinInTheMachine said:It forces you to play at a very specific pace. What you're trying to say is that the game won't let you powerlevel your way through everything. No sympathy here.

Im curious to how you fought the boss at lv 11 as well being you start at level 10.........
