If its the one before the boss, near the stairs i didnt find anything there (or already got that one). Are you talking about a savepoint outside in the forest surface?

The save point by the elevator. The crystal is kinda hidden at the bottom of the screen.

I searched there already. The one with two elevators (one with the tablet) but didnt find anything. I´ll give it a look again later.

I'm really conflicted on whether to buy this or not.

The last JRPG I played was Final Fantasy X a lot of years ago. I really fell out of love with the JRPG and have played nothing but Western RPGs since. I just finished Mass Effect and I'm dying to play another RPG, even though I know Lost Odyssey will be totally different. I'm really itching to sit through another epic journey though.

I'd say go for it...LO is a total throwback to pre-FFX JRPGs. To be sure, I've grown bored on the occasions where I was briefly stuck in LO, but for the most part it's a hugely enjoyable nostalgiafest if you dig games like FF VIII and IX and the early Grandias.

Man, so I just got up to the big time insanity on Disc 3 and holy shit, this has just reached an incredibly breaknecked pace.

And I just fucking Game Overed on the train! Damn, man! This shit is FOR REAL.

Any tips on beating the boss at the end of Burning Cave? He's got that shield on that bounces all of my attacks back to my party members, and he keeps casting All Aquara on me on his turn.

Use Mack for physical attacks and get the other guys to raise his stats, cast heal and use shield magics.

Does he treat you to dinner, buy you flowers, and say "I'm sorry baby...I swear...I'll never review a game like that again"?

URGENT!!

I remember seeing a picture of it somewhere in this thread, but how do I get to the second glowy item in the sewers? It's in the damn Dam mechanism on the ground but the ladder only goes to a platform that's obviously too high to get to the ground.

HALP!!

I skipped that. I tried for like, 15 minutes to figure it out, but eventually decided to bypass it. If it was such a great item they wouldn't make it so hard to get.

I just messed around with the levers and was able to get it in about 5 minutes or so.

Just got it...it's a pretty dope spell, man, All Curse. Dunno if you can get it later. Prolly.

Anyway, it's totally a Die Hard With A Vengeance puzzle.

They weren't stealing it for me either, they would just take a healing herb. You have to battle the elmon king guy first, then they will steal the crown next time there is an elmon in a random battle. Then fight the king again, he'll have the crown on and you'll get a good item too.

Also, I love the background music while in the hotel of Ghotza. Reminds me of Blade Runner.

Question: How do the
Double SP/Experience
skills work? Does everyone you want it to be applied to has to equip it, or does it apply to all, once a character has it equipped.

Adent

Can't manage for sh!t
I just couldn't get into the game. I got the same feeling from it that I got from Sonic. It was just a bit generic. There were way too many characters that I didn't care about. I saved Sarah and then I stopped and sold it back.

I am pretty sure it applies to the whole party if one member has the skill

Don't laugh at how stupid this sounds!

close north gate, open south gate and middle gate, close middle and south gate, open north gate, close north gate, open middle gate, climb down ladder and get the item (All Curse spell)

WOW, who turned the game on hyperdrive? I'm on disk 3, and I was ready to stop playing during the
playable Gongora
scenes but right after that, WOW. Now I really don't want to stop.

Yeah I was stumped there for a minute, too. AFter you make your way through the Magic Tank the first time you end up in a room downstairs that takes you back into the Magic Tank in the upper right hand corner of the map. There's a chest down one of the pathways, but then you basically climb up the ladder on the first vat when you come in and you should be able to get out from there.

Can anyone tell me why I can't go back to Numara Atoll and Crimson Forest after starting Disc 4 and getting my
second
ship?

Hypercurrents and icebergs. Don't worry, that will get fixed relatively soon (assuming you don't get lost like I did and spend like 5 hours doing sidequests/bonus dungeons thinking I was progressing the story).

:lol :lol

Nice one.

WOW.

Now that I've got a full party (well, not totally but you know what I mean, my fellow Disc 3ers) I can comfortably say this is my favorite cast of RPG characters I've played. The variety of attack types and skills and weapons is awesome, the connections between the chracters is great, the senses of humor are there, it's just such a great cast. I'm going to spend 60 hours on Disc 4 and do every sidequest just so I can squeeze every inch of rad out of these guys.

I LOVE YOU, LOST ODYSSEY.

But especially you, Sed. You are the best. With your fucking Ed Hardy pantshorts and shit.

I got there when I was level 45 and basically leveled twenty levels in an hour and a half. Good times.

That's actually my only problem with the game - they basically give you all spellcasters until the end. Well, they also give you Mack, who isn't really good at anything at all.

I wanted Sed to show up earlier in the game dammit! When I got him I basically kept him in my party for the rest of the game.

Get to the middle stairs, push the statue out of the way, make another boulder come down. Then watch it smash a doorway for you
See I thought that but when I went to the statue I did'nt see an option to grab it. Thanks

I will say this about the music, there's not enough of it. There have been a lot of amazing set pieces on Disc 3 that really could have and should have had their own themes and music. Blue Dragon definitely beats it in that respect.

That being said, SED FUCKING RULES. STILL.

Just finished Disc 1 - nothing to add other than the game is awesome. Shaping up to be one of my favorite RPG's in a looong time.

I'm going to finish the game (without actually finishing the final part) before I attempt the side quests.

For now, what should I do? I've just started Disc 4. Any recommendations for places to level up, as well as where do I have to go next to advance the main storyline?

Lastly, I've missed a few dreams, and it looks like (well, judging by the dream location FAQs) that I can't get them again - is this true?

Kastrioti

Persecution Complex
I picked up the game a few days ago and love it so far. I haven't played a JRPG of this overall quality in some time, so it makes it all that much better.

Does anyone know the name of the song that plays in the trailer if you let the title screen sit?

Terrace Cavern and
Gongora's Underground Cave
should be ideal if you're just starting out on disk 4.

As far as dreams go, none of them are missable so you should be able to pick them up as you progress through disk 4.

Well so far I'm on disk 2. Pretty good so far. My question is though can I get through the game without really leveling certain characters? Like Mack

No. Fortunately it only takes a couple battles to bring unused characters back up to everyone else's level.

Freakin Gaffers have me fiending for this game. I haven't truly been sucked in by an RPG since Final Fantasy X. Yeah. I know. But this seems like it's right up my alley.

Should I replace Mack with Ming at the start of disc 2?

I'm kinda curious about this too. I took out Janson and relaced him with Ming. But, for some reason, Mack is the target for all the powerful physical attacks. And he's started becoming a huge drain on health supplies (MP and items).

Has everyone just ditched Mack altogether?

I've kept the mortals in my party at all times (up until disc three) and switched between two of the four immortals at any one time. I like to keep the mortals in so they're constantly gaining new abilities through leveling up.
