Sorry. As far as I know, the train station (I think? Or somewhere else in Gohtza) in disc 3 is the last opportunity to buy them. Ever. They do not exist as treasures anywhere in the game, unfortunately.

Everyone else, buy 'em while you can!

That's not true.

I just got to Gohtza and I already have them (ie - didn't buy them at the shop). I don't remember where exactly I got them though.

But there has to be another location earlier in the game....

beginning disc 4 treasue question:
I just can't find the Uhra Sewer treasure. I only have access to the Back Alley Sewers but not the Uhra Sewers (is there a difference?).

Thanks for the help

Don't you simply have to go to
the pirate fortress in the north east
?

IIRC
It's in the water right when you enter the sewers, you have to use the water door on the left to let the water go and then you can get it, it's on the right of the stairs

Edit: And an important hint if you don't want to lose an hour in the temple of enlightenment like me.
Look for ladders when outside at the top
. They are easy to miss :)

Wow, i just read Seth´s second dream. How beautiful and sad at the same time.

I wish that could have also been shown like Kaims flashback, even if just for a few seconds.

guys i need help. sorry i dont want to look through a gajillion pages.

anyways, i just beat the part where the queen lets you go. then i joined that gang with those little kids by finding the balloon, doll, and boat. so then i leave and go to the enchanted forest or whatever its called and now i dont know wtf to do. the forest is just this small loop, then i see the blue door thingie but i can't get past the knocked down tree. what do i do?
You should be able to get through on the northwest corner. You have to use the A button to ram through the tree.

finally beat Mass Effect and what a great game it was.

now on to bigger things...

IMO Lost Odyssey has a lot to live up to, when you take the ending and backstory of ME into consideration. So far so good though, LO is delivering.

EDIT: oh yeah, and I have to say I LOVE the enemy design in the Crimson Forest. I love the little groups of yellow/gold fairies. Probably me favorite enemy type thus far.

ME was my 2nd western rpg and it is the best so far. (Oblivion was the first and i didn't like it, it even made me stay away from western rpgs till now)

tbh i am not expecting LO to be better or anything, in fact i would be shocked if it is since ME was one hell of a wonderful journey, but i love me some jrpgs and it was quite some time since i played one. (BD)

Agreed, it doesn't have to be better than ME. ME set the bar really high.

LO can stand on it's own. At least so far, I've played through some of disc 2 and it's kept pace. Very happy with my RPG options so far on the 360. :)

Experimental Staff has
Big Daddies
(basically). They're my favorite.

:D

Talking about Experimental staff. I just started that and theres a treasure chest i cant reach. Is on another section and separated by moving platforms. Is tehre a switch to stop the platforms so you can jump to the side or do you reach through other ways?

I thought those Toads, which didn't appear till after you finished the forest, were fantastic in design

Hmph, think I missed those. I always ran into: the exploding flying things, the fairies, the flying thing that eats the fairies for power up, the crab looking things and the little guys with the helmets and spears.

LOL, I should be hired to name the enemy types for these games.

You'll be able to reach it after you beat the boss, not before

you probably did miss them if you immediately left...thought that was weird that they showed up afterward

Actually I hung around for awhile to make sure I found the Demon Sword/Ring.

Which kicks ass BTW.

which makes me ask the question....is that how weapons are basically handled in this game as far as upgrades?

...no real buying but finding them after so many hours?

Not sure TBH. The Demon Sword is the first weapon of any kind that I've seen. Weapon store perhaps? I get bored in towns in most RPGs so I don't do a lot of snooping.

There are weapon stores. There is one in Nomura, it is just a pseudo secret store. If you explore enough it is relatively easy to find.

Just hit disc 4.

I want to stop exactly near the end, and then go do the side quests. Will the game inform me about the "no return" point?

Also, are the royal seals worth it? I've got 4, they're pretty rewarding, but I don't know about the rest.

Edit: Also what about the levers mini game in Uhra? Can't figure it out, so lame.

Thanks Naix.

I had to come all the way back to the boat to save (didnt found any other save spot yet)

I'm wondering the same thing.

Except for Kaim and Seth I constantly swap them to keep them at almost the same level. That said, i try to keep Sarah and Ming and leave the 5th place for one of the mortals.

Hey guys. Is Ming worth using? If so, who should I swap out for her?

Here's my usual formation

Front: Kaim, Seth

Back: Ming, Jansen/Cooke, Sarah

I switch between Jansen and Cooke depending on the situation. If I need more defense I go with Cooke and Jansen for all offence.

Starting a certain point you will most likely only use your immortals because they'll be *much* more convenient thanks to the number of skill slots they had. When all your immortals are able to absord elemental damages 100% of the time, of others most of the time, going back to mortals is difficult :)

Yeah the game will ask you if you want to go on, because by then you won't be able to return (though I found it to be a lie, just like in BD, once you have reached some point you are able to roam free again).
And the royal seals are *very* worth it. You can already teach your immortals royal equipment (and special accessories while you are at it) because at least one of his accessories is a real life saver.

My usual party starting lvl 50 was kaim/seth in the front row, and sed/ming/sarah in the back. Sed is very nice because he can equip three accessories, and can be very powerful even from the back row.

I've beat the game twice now (Japanese and American release) and am baffled as to why Mistwalker did not use pre rendered backgrounds. The game has random encounters, fairly linear environments, fixed camera angles. The half-assed physics (Kicking cans...) could have been taken out....

Real time is more impressive.

besides can you zoom in/out with pre rendered backgrounds?

There are lots and lots of dynamic camera movements that I really enjoyed in this game. Some of the camera work when Kaim moves around is incredibly well done.

I just beat disk 1, so awesome. It was definitely worth it to level up my struggling characters in the Crimson forest because this was the first time I did not have trouble fighting a boss. The music and artistry in that area was fantastic, the best in the game so far.

When I first heard the game was going to have short stories, I thought it was idiotic. While I still think they are a lazy way to flesh out characters, the stories themsleves are legitimately well-written and interesting.

Same thing I thought. The first two stories I was thinking this is bullshit, but the stories have turned out being awesome in the end. Actually sad rather.

At the
Mansion looking haplessly for that last plate.
. I dunno what happened, but the load times are starting to bug the shit out of me now. It's starting to remind me of Chrono Trigger's PSX load times. I have sat in battles where they do the pan thing for 20 seconds before the actual battle loads. I know with 4 discs, its hard to find the right data to cache, but I really wish there was an option to help speed up this loading screens.

I suck at RPG's.
The first boss is kicking my ass. Some bird thing.
Tried a dozen times.
I use fire elements and can get him down to around 400 hp but he keeps wiping me out. Use the dude in the back row for healing but it just doesn't matter.
Should I just quit now?

don't use the dude in back for healing!

use the 2 people in front to heal the dude in back, and have the dude in back cast Fire over and over since he is stronger with magic. it's a piece of delicious cake!

Pretty much. Not that hard. Also, if you're not doing much damage with Kaim and Seth inbetween healing eachother, USE FLARE BOMBS.

Quick question. I'm heading to dinner tonight with my girl but I want to finish up the third disc first. I am just entering the Burning Cave, how much is left on this disc?

Its starting to piss me off too. The pre-battle "scenery introduction" camera sweeps are especially annoying when they repeat on the same battle.

Nope. The first boss is, in fact, the hardest boss, apparently. And the 2nd, apparently, is the 2nd hardest. After that, life ain't so bad.

I know I asked this before, but I never got an answer. How much damage will your characters usually do with each hit at endgame levels?

In the
mansion I cannot find one of the disc thingys I need for the garden area. I have the one from doing the clock-like puzzle at the top of the stairs and the one on the floor at the end of one of the hallways.
Where's the last one?
