Did you move the pillar in the past mansion?

Man, I thought I had to do some Chrono Trigger-style thing with that statue, but when I tried moving it before, the action button never popped up. I guess I was approaching it from the wrong side.

Anyway, thanks for the assistance.

It took me about 15 minutes to actually realize I had to put it in the place where the treasure box is in the present...

Quick question for anyone that can answer:

Now that I have more than 5 people in my party, how should I stack them up? I went through the mansion with Mack on the sidelines and I'm just wondering if I should be mixing it up to keep everyone on or around the same level. I'm able to replicate most of skills from bracelets/previous skill links, but I don't want to screw myself further on in the game.

Oh well, any ones where you can see her ample assets... and stuff... >.>

If that's not a problem...
I'm not going to spend time looking through 20+ hours of videos just for your "ample assets" needs ;)

Make sure everyone is at about the same level, or you are going to be in a world of pain sooner than later.

Definitely mix it up. It's wise to keep all your party members balanced because there will be major battles that will more than likely make you use a party member that you've neglected.

Yay Champion achievement unlocked! :D

880/1000 gamerscore is nice compared to my 110/1000 score on Blue Dragon. Glad that they fixed this.

Hello, NeoGAF. I'm new here.

I picked up this "Lost Odyssey" game last week and have been playing it nonstop since I got it.

It made me cry at one point.

Is the game that moving, or am I just a sissy?

That is all.

This was probably answered several times, but I'm not searching through 50 - pages:

I've missed 3 dreams (4-5-6), can I get them later?

Yup

Anything special open up after you finish the game. There's a new game+ right?

So really, is there any point to buying new staffs for magic users? I am at the beginning of disc 2 so I haven't had a chance to purchase many upgrades, but so far it seems like a waste of money.

I can usually decipher the meaning behind the novellas in the game, but can anyone help me
figure out what the meaning behind the short story about the "Wind Stream" was? Each of them has a little moral and this one I could not understand. Was it that, although life is a finite matter, people strive to find never-ending diversions to commit themselves to?

I haven't noticed a difference, but then again I haven't had any issues running low on funds so I always buy new ones when they pop up.

You are a HUGE, STINKIN' SISSY.

Seriously though, I found myself misty-eyed up at a few points during the game. I'm sure you and I aren't the only ones. Actually, I know a few people that teared up while playing the game.

Yeah. It is quite stirring at points. I came very close to breaching during the first Dream - but I held strong for you, Gaf.

...Not sure how much longer I can last though.

I can't remember the last time I held such a strong emotional attachment to a game. Maybe MGS3 (the ending) or FFX (Yuna's dance on water). I never cry, but It was pretty tough going on both counts.

This game has everything: funeral minigames, songs that defeat evil spirits, and sub-aqueous QTE events!

Question: that guy in Gohtza that asks you to go deliver something to his brother in Khent; I never left Gohtza before the whole disc 3 stuff happens, and obviously
Khent is no longer on my map
When I went back the guy apologized now that Khent
is destroyed or something
. Did I miss out on something good?

I forget what, exactly, but you missed out on an accessory that was already available somewhere else and was therefore useless unless you also missed it the first time.

YOU people.......the torch lighting mini-game wasn't that bad.

It wasn't bad, it was just sort of pointless. It was basically token interactivity thrown in to break up what was otherwise an hour long cutscene.

GOTY

btw, Ming has veins on her hands too, it's to show she's royalty locked up out of the sun. I didn't see anyone say this while I lurked in this thread (one of the only ones worth reading on the site).

Had to chime in and say how freaking amazing Sed is. His skills are some of the most useful in the game. Plus I can keep him in the back row and he does great damage. It feels like he almost breaks the game :lol

Not too fond of it at the moment. Seems to require a fair amount of grinding to get anywhere. The magic is so slow the battle with the 2nd boss is far, far too difficult. Lvl 17 characters and when the second one attacks Jansen (who I really don't like - just looks too weird; too tall and body a weird shape) is so slow casting magic and his HP so low he's dead almost immediately and can never recover as Prism takes two turns to cast.
No, not my cup of tea at the moment. Looks like I need to grind away for a few hours to get to Lvl 20-ish.
I think I'm just not good at this game.

Interesting...I don't think I was ever actually looking at her hands when she was one screen...

Holy shit GAF, don't tell me this stealth section doesn't turn this game into a cheap piece of garbage. I don't care if it only took you three minutes, I can't believe this got through QA!

You are approaching the game wrong. There is no grinding.

It's so easy though. It's not Splinter Cell or something, all you have to do is run past one, kick a can, walk over a square and you're done.

Not true. There's one point where you have to cross two of the bots at once.. and you can't see where the other one is because of the fixed camera, all you have to go on is a the unreadable map. Its terrible.

Yeah then you have to walk slowly past the sleeping guard then climb the ladder, walk slowly across the catwalk climb down hit the switch, climb up hit the switch, climb down, and hit the switch. It still isn't long but I can't see why people would complain so much. This is a long ass game, they were just trying to mix things up a little bit.

It didn't bother me at all.

Alright, after ten times of trying this shit... I discovered I didn't have to go through that one hallway with the two robots! I had to press another random switch in the corner of the room.

Why didn't the game bother telling me that going there was impossible? What the fuck?

Well its not the stealth part that irritated me, its the bad gameplay design bit. How was I to realize that I couldn't go there, if the game doesn't give me a hint?

Problem is... this here is the GAF and people like to bitch about the most inane shit.
Granted I had heard people bitching about the funeral so much that when I got there it was a joke. I hadn't even heard that people were complaining about the 5 minute segment stealth bit until after I had been way past it to which I just said to myself "wtf people!" I had no issue with this part at all. So how are people having problems? Sure you can get caught over and over again if you don't play it well... but was it really that hard for some people?

Complain about it if you really didnt like the part, cool. To say it ruins the game and it lowers the game down a notch on your score belt is well... thats just silly.
