Right, but unless the Xbox 360 version allows you to save random files to your hard drive (which would be a first for that system), the "best" mods are all they get.

sorry for being such a noob but i have more questions:

1. What is "crouch" on the keyboard?

2. i have my headset on, since i am using kb/m setup do i need to press a key to talk? if i just use the sixaxis controller do i need to hold down the right thumbstick to talk like in warhawk?

Can I get some UT3 owners on my friends list? I'd like to be able to organize downloading of specific maps/mutators so that I can play them online w/o the confusion.

There is no crouch button. In the very few spots it is required, you'll do it automatically.

And yes, you have to hold down/tap something, I think right on the d-pad, to talk. But it's really weird and nobody really understand voice chat in UT3 on PS3 :lol

Has there been any news about an "official" demo coming out? (ie, not a beta demo?)

Or a demo coinciding with a new patch or version, like we got with 2K4 (and an extra map)?

that is actually a good idea.

I was actually getting lazy and wanted to download the furthur back 3rd person one and the powered up vehicle one, so I searched for games that had them just to download them, but I couldent find the vehicle one.

However, Bathroom+low grav is really fun. Only problem is the server creator needs to turn on uber boards (hover boards suck now)

and please midway, have some custom map servers up and all that.

I'm putting up a CTF TWISTED-FACE server for the next 15 hours or so for the PS3 crowd. Apparently people are getting awesome pings, woo. This is the first time I've run custom content, though, so I'm worried that nobody's going to have the map. They need to enable autodownloading on the PS3 unless they want the scene to die.

It has been supposed that it is based on who you kill and who kills you.

I think this is correct because the other night I was absolutely destroying some truly terrible people. My average for each round was probably 30 kills and 4 or 5 deaths. I dropped over 1000 spots in the rankings when I was done :lol

I'm having a real love/hate relationship with the whole situation. This is a revolutionary concept for console gaming and I love the idea of it to bits but with all this content I barely have time to keep up. The distribution model for new maps simply doesn't work with my schedule. I know how that sounds but I don't have time to figure out which maps are the most popular and the ones to have and I don't have time to download them all one at a time.

I'm ecstatic with what Epic has done and I know the distribution of user-created content is not necessarily their responsibility but they need to fix the way we import maps.

all Epic needs to do is let you put a number of files on a usb drive at once.

I have no troublle going the few feet that seperate my PC from my PS3, but doing it over and over again straight more than 15 times is annoying. Let me just throw them on my usb drive, plug it in and transfer them all, I would even be willing to number them if I have to.

I was actually considering borrowing my brothers usb drive and getting my sd card reader out to cut the trips in third.

Yeah, I can answer that. It's easy, there's an option to find k&m servers only, pad servers only or mixed.

BTW, just got the game. My PSN name is logan_squall, I don't know how friend list work or anything, but if there's a GAF game or anything I'd be great to play with you guys.:D

Ya I know about the option. Im worried with so few people playing it would be difficult to find rooms for gamepad only. Thinking about buying the game from a friend for 40.

I haven't had any trouble finding pad only servers to play in, if that helps you at all.

And I just downloaded and played Yard SE and it is utterly amazing. The Bio Metal 3 map has given my the privilege to get "Monster Kills" consequitively like never before :D

They butchered the kB+M in this game

Initially I thought it was me but the epic ut3 forums are littered with problems related to the game in the implementation. Initial version wouldn't allow dodging or crouching properly we still can't dodge like we usually could, how on earth this slipped past this company is beyond me. Mouse acceleration is screwed (you can fix) and on top it's not even native support like pc, which is messed as well, as it emulates the analog like a smartjoy frag wtf. I learned my lesson unless it's straight up native with options more like pc in depth not playing a console fps with xim or xfps sniper.

How exactly did you go about it?

Everyone, this is how you get mutators on your PS3:

1) Download USERDATA.JAM to your memory stick/storage device (proper members of the SDF use a memory stick). Make sure it's in the proper folder structure: PS3/SAVEDATA/BLUS30086-MODIMPORT/USERDATA.JAM.

2) Load up UT3.

3) From the main menu, go to Community > My Content.

4) Press square button to import the mod.

5) Load up Instant Action, or host your own Multiplayer game.

6) On the Settings menu, press square for Mutators. Downloaded content will be towards the bottom of the list. Triangle will put the selected Mutator from the available Mutator list into the list of Mutators used in this particular game.

7) Start the game.

Two more things:

You should not be using ActionCam.

There is no reason to not have http://www.ut3mod.com bookmarked in your PS3 browser.

I know how to put mods on.. I put a bunch on already. Its just action cam it doesn't want to work :/
Edit- Woah it worked :p I guess I put it in the wrong dir or something

What do you guys have your controler sensitivity settings at. I have it on 12 look speed and 7 turning acceleration right now. It feels pretty good.

Both are 10, meaning turn accel is all the way up.

So today I just started playing console games with headphones when I realized my new TV has a headphone jack. I'm loving it. I could tell where the guy was just by the sound it made when he picked up items.

Curse5 is a really good map.

Must be the game and/or your connection. I play Resistance perfectly fine on wireless.

last night while i was playing nobody was on the vctf or warfare midway servers because they would freeze your system when you tried to connect to them. they seriously need to fix that shit already.

Well my pings are in the 200s with a ton of packet loss when i use wifi. I have no idea what else it could be. I hooked up a wireless bridge and even that is much faster than whatever the PS3 has built in.

Yeah headphones works like a charm in both COD4 en RFoM too. I discovered that as well recently :).

Which version of this should I get? I don't have a PS3 but I have a good PC and a 360.

Is it worth it to wait for the 360 version so I can play with friends or is PC better because of mods and performance/controls?


edit: oh yeah PC version would save me ten bucks too.

that second one seemed to kill the framerate for me though. Only tried it on a large map.

The busted chat is completely killing the game for me! I want to listen and talk to other gamers, damn it.

I rarely play the game because of that - I'm so used to the easy chat setup in Resistance.
