Still interested to hear the pumpkins version of signal to noise. Also the promised gossamer studio version
Gossamer without Jimmy? No way. It's impossible. He was like half the song. Ditto for As Rome Burns (man, that song rocked).
I'm anxiously awaiting that official remaster of Machina II, is that still pretty far off since MCATIS only just got rereleased?
Adore, then Machina. I would hope they'd combine Machina and Machina 2, but we'll see. Billy might try to make a cash grab. lol
Also the warm fuzzy tone provided by vinyl and the songs not being overproduced is part of what makes Machina 2 > Machina. I can only hope they don't ruin the final mixes (as M2's mix was never really finalized).
Love the Adore era. The whole TAFH reissue seems to have gone over like a lead balloon, though. Very little buzz about it as far as I can tell.
Well the price alone was too high. And yeah, quite frankly the reissue left much to be desired. Complete Pistachio Medley songs would be nice. We don't need Silverfuck right at the end of the 33 EP, totally ruins it... it's like they weren't even thinking about song placement. A lot more could have gone on that disc. And it is just sloppy. Songs that belong on Tonight EP (i.e. the beautiful acoustic version of Tonight, Tonight, one of the reissue's highlights imo) are on the 1979 single instead which makes no sense. That kind of thing.
well part of the reason is that there is a lot of stuff that was already accessible with good quality. when i envisioned TAFH new box or extended it would have been with the songs from pistachio medley in their full forms (if they exist). we got some of that but not everything that could have been.
i still really enjoyed the reissue. lots of good stuff but i suppose the b-sides of a b-side box set aren't going to set the world on fire.
Nope, but let's face it SP is old news, especially vintage SP. I am sure a lot of people are surprised they are still a band... if you want to even call it that now. As I said TAFH reissue left much to be desired. NOT worth the price. Tons of extra songs could have been on there.
Yeah the TAFH reissue is disappointing to me..kinda the same with MCIS. I guess because there's already so much leaked stuff already out there regarding those albums.
Hey, I thought the MCIS reissue was totally legit. My only gripe is that it had some songs on there that didn't belong, like alternate mixes of TAFH tracks. Should've put that on the TAFH reissue. That said, it's really an awesome reissue, I'd give it an 8.5/10 overall.
But yeah, my favorite new track (to the world, at least) is the acoustic Tonight, Tonight track. It's just perfect.
All of the loud songs on the live disc kick your ass, too.
