I actually thought you were trying to catch me in a FG block formation or something. The moment you snapped it I was sure the game was over but the madden gods were not smiling on me at key moments!DMczaf said:gg
That last run to get closer for a FG was almost the dumbest play I've ever had. I BARELY got the timeout in before the clock hit 0:00!
I was like "JUST TOUCH ME! IM DOWN! IM DOWN!!" after the dive.

Edit: You're probably celebrating. We can shoot for tomorrow.
You weren't thinking endzone?DMczaf said:gg

You're probably on the Madden 10 site.daw840 said:Is anyone else having problems with the Madden site? The FIFA ad is covering up what's inside the "My Leagues" window.....

You should be using Charles anyway.daw840 said:Fucking fantastic. Thomas Jones out for 9 weeks...
Rorschach said:Wow... just checked and they rated both pretty high. You should use Charles more since he's a young buck!
It's probably still random. I don't think it was designated last year since our simmed leagues had different outcomes in ratings than our main league.McNei1y said:Speaking of using younger players more, did they change the potential system in this game or is it the same as last year where each player already has a designated rating after each year?

My thought was that it was based on potential, starts, downs played, and touchdowns, but that turned out not to be the case since bench players were getting 6 point upgrades with C ratings. :|
Like Rors said it is a bit re-determined but there were variables. I had Matt Ryan in my own franchise go from 85 to 87 but in our league he went to 89.McNei1y said:Only reason why I say it was set because I had a regular team and a drafted team with some of the same players one each. Then the following season they had the same rating as the other league. Like Orakpo always went from a 78 to an 85 or 86.
Be home in an hour or so.storybook77 said:Can you play now?
I actually played on mic with him when we did our game. Very nice guy and he's pretty good, unfortunately he's stuck with an atrocious Bills team. He said he's signed up for GAF but hasn't gotten approved yet.daw840 said:So, I just got beat by the Bills. Great game though, really close at the end. I had 3 opportunities to tie the game, but....shit.
I really wish he had a GAF account. I was reading his profile and it says he has zero finger movement. I am assuming this means he is quadriplegic. I really want to know what kind of setup he has to play games. He's damn good.
BigAT said:I might have felt bad for beating him.
That's weird because our league went way different. My WRs went up considerably higher in the simmed league. Morrison (my mlb) dropped a few points in this league and went up a few points in the simmed league. There were some that were the same, though.McNei1y said:Only reason why I say it was set because I had a regular team and a drafted team with some of the same players one each. gimme commishFrenchMovieTheme said:hey bros, i have a b-day party to go to tonight, so league will advance late tonight. there are only like 3 more games left, so hopefully they all get done!
It's the time. Lot fewer plays run because there's so little time. One drive usually takes the first quarter. The averages are still ridiculous for all starting backs except 3.FrenchMovieTheme said:looking at the overall stats for the league, it's pretty clear that defense is either highly improved this year or all-madden was the answer all along. scoring average is down from last year (not 1 team over 30 ppg), completion % is way down from last year (no one is over 70%; last year there were multiple players over 75% and english was over 80% for most of the final year), YPC is down (though still high for gore/mjd/etc), and although there aren't eye popping sack stats i can say that i have been getting a lot more qb pressures (this is also a reason for the lower completion %)
Wow, I didn't really appreciate how crazy it is until looking at the stats myself.Rorschach said:It's the time. Lot fewer plays run because there's so little time. One drive usually takes the first quarter. The averages are still ridiculous for all starting backs except 3.
Yep and it was even worse last week. Check out Bradshaw. 12.65... It's not on many attempts and it's probably because the D gets lulled by Jacobs, but damn... :lolBigAT said:Wow, I didn't really appreciate how crazy it is until looking at the stats myself.
The top 5 backs in yardage are averaging over 6.1 YPC. Jerome Harrison: 8.67 yards per carry over 69 attempts. 7 of the top 8 are above 5.9 YPC.
Finally some recognition! I can't let Bradshaw in the game too often because people would accuse me of cheesing. I can use them both interchangeably tho, last year I couldn't run with Bradshaw at all and actually had him as my third RB.Rorschach said:Check out Bradshaw. 12.65...
