That being said, I loved glass

I haven't seen all his movies yet. And really opinion is just that, opinion. Like, people hated the Village. I actually enjoyed it. Signs was great though. I saw part of The Last Airbender, but I didn't hate it. Yes, i've seen the original series. But I go into adaptations knowing that nothing is going to be 1/1. Things will change. I just look at it as an alternate dimension version. I did like Glass too. That's overly generous.
Agreed all the way around. Watching the previews, I was like, "Ok, this looks like it could be fun" and it wasn't so much fun as it was interesting. I liked the cast for the most part. Although I thought the primary husband/wife both needed to be cast different. I don't think they were that great. The doctor, it bothered me the entire movie that I recognized him. I saw his name in the credits and all I could think of was, "You've been weighed, you've been measured, and you've been found wanting". The model bothered me. I was impressed by the guy who played the rapper. I want to see more of him in stuff. I feel potential in him as an actor. The daughter of the main family, what a babe. (Yes she was a rapidly aged kid in the movie but the actress was 18+)Solid 7/10 for me. Kept me intrigued, acting was solid, and the 'twist' (not really a twist) was relatively clever.
I really don't get the hate behind it. If you want to explain it, i'm all ears....eyes. Some rich people get tired of the outside world so they go back to simpler times. They don't want their offspring to be tempted by an outside world that they perceive as lost/hopeless so they keep it a secret. Concoct a monster to scare people into not trying to leave. Pay off the government to make the entire area a no fly zone. I think people are too caught up in the whole 'twist' thing tbh

Ah. So you have no relevant comment. Just jumping on the bandwagon. Cool. I doubt you've even watched 1/3 of his movies and yet still criticize.Shamalamadingdong movies and their twists suck rocks. He should have stopped after Osment saw dead people.

Let me guess, "Don't have to get kicked in the face to know it sucks". Heard the 3rd grader argument before.
Not hating on you, don't have a problem with you (I don't even know you), I just take umbrage when people won't backup their viewpoints.
M Night has been trying to recapture that 'gotcha" moment from The Sixth Sense in the majority of his project since. He just hasn't been successful in doing so as his premises are either varying degrees of stupid (Signs) or insultingly predictable (The Village).
???Why would these people talk English if it clearly isn't their main language.
They spoke english with eachother when alone as family.???
They have to communicate with other people and staff at the English-speaking resort... why wouldn't they speak English? I did the same thing when I stayed at a Dominican resort a few years ago (except speaking Spanish, of course), to practice my own Spanish as well as to communicate better and easier with staff (whom obviously learned English as a second language).
And? Why wouldn't a bilingual family sometimes speak the other language? Maybe they were practicing because they only speak Spanish at home. There are plenty of logical reasons. They spoke english with eachother when alone as family
They were clearly both not native english speakers. I'm not even american 'lmao'.And? Why wouldn't a bilingual family sometimes speak the other language? Maybe they were practicing because they only speak Spanish at home. There are plenty of logical reasons.
But really, who cares? It shouldn't bother you unless you're one of those "why are those darn messycans speaking MURICAN" people lmao
