U answered your own question there sorta. Since they have high participation they don't need stickied, people posting does it for them.

That doesn't explain why Halo 2 is stickied.. it has similar (though lower) participation than 2 unstickied topics.

I can't believe a person's bias goes this far.

I'm probably the only mod that even looks at that forum, I just haven't gotten around to unsticking it, and now it'll stay even longer since it agitates you so.

I agree about the baseball thread. It gets the shaft all year long. I don't think we got a sticky last year til the 2nd half of the season, and even then, we had to beg CK to do it.

Yes, I know it's a joke, but still, it happened all last year, the NHL thread was stickied all year, while the MLB thread got shafted until we got CK to do it.
