Opening Day in Super Nintendo World Donkey Kong Country

to me yes... I'm going to go to Japan in 2025.
Book Nintendo World well in advance, and I mean well, well in advance if you can. I went to Universal Studios Japan last year and didn't manage to get into Nintendo World despite trying to book advanced access for months beforehand, it was all sold out. You get a chance to get in on the day but its a random lottery. The studio passes do not gain entry to Nintendo World, you need to book it seperately. Do not make the same mistake I did.

Yes, I have seen that it is not easy at all, my plan is to go in April, but since it will be a trip and I am on the lookout... I will go on a tour and in fact tomorrow I will check with an agency... Because I want to go to Disney Tokyo, The Ghibli Museum and To the World of Mario Bros., if I can't... Then it would be September 2025, but it's a fact... It hasn't been easy to plan the trip.

Excellent. Hope you have a great time.

I mainly used to get over there for Snowboarding but have spent a fair bit of time in Tokyo. To be honest I wouldn't stress about organising everything down to the last detail.

The most fun I had in Japan was when stuff just happened.

Just remember that the Ghibli museum will sell tickets for April on like March 8th or something and it will sell out in minutes for the entire month.

I forgot when I went in April and never got to go.

Ah yes, a relaxing day at Disneyland, stopping every 2.5 seconds for B-Roll footage while making sure none of your equipment gets nicked
Some people love doing photography as much as going to Disneyland.

But anyways, if I enjoy a video I leave a like. Anyone urging me to do so comes across as paid content and am inclined to not do that.

I bet they don't have 189K people waiting for a video with quality consistent to any of their prior work.

As someone who has worked at the most ''fun'' places as a videographer/director, it's very hard work. And skimming through that video I can honestly say it's put together very well.

Keyboard warriors sad they can't make ends meet as a content creator. It's all projection with these folks..can't just enjoy or ignore, gotta piss all over the place to feel a modicum of self worth.

Or, a fellow gafer posted something they thought OUR community might like and encouraged folks to leave a like IF they wanted. YouTubers create more content based off positive feedback, which would mean more videos potentially of interest to GAF.

That’s the park which I also would love to go to.

The Ghibli museum goes through their website.

10th of each month is when tickets go up for the next month. So if you are going in April you want to go here on March 10.

Klook is pretty great. I’m pretty sure that’s where I bought all of my Shinkansen tickets as well. Speaking of if you are taking the train from like Tokyo to Kyoto or Osaka I do suggest getting the green car tickets (I believe that’s the name) they are generally like $25 USD more but more comfortable and you can choose your seats.

God, you're right, they sold out very quickly. :messenger_fearful:.

I have a month to practice and in March to be lucky enough to buy them

what is Shinkan... that?

A question, can I buy the jr pass or the Gr card pass, can I buy them in Japan or is it only online?

What difference does it make?

It makes me want to go alone, but at the same time it makes me insecure, more because I will be out of my country or miss cultural events.

Although I would practically go to Shibuya and Akihabara to buy and have a search for rare and difficult to buy video games.

While it was cool to take the kids, I was surprised at just how small the Nintendo area was at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Bought my jr pass online, pretty straightforward. Although it's a half physical process. I'll receive a order receipt, sent from UK to my house in Brasil, and will need to exchange it for the real pass in some train station in Japan.
It could be a qr code, but... Japan being Japan, I suppose.

For someone like me this a dream come true. I can not wait to visit this one and eventually the one in Florida. I'm enjoying all the love DK's been getting these last few years. As far as I'm concerned It's a forgone conclusion that this is all culminating into a big brand new game.

I wouldnt worry about getting a JR pass, I'd just buy a passmo or welcome suica card for metro and train travel once you get off the plane. You can usually find them at the airport, if not there will be an information desk in most stations that will sell you one. The Shinkansen is the bullet train and you're better booking trips between cities in advance, its cheaper and can be done via klook. If you are only going to a couple of cities then it's probably not worth shelling out for a full JR pass.

So, Nintendo was Japanese Disney all this time minus the tyranny? They say Singapore is Disneyland with the death penalty. I'd go to Donkey Kong land in an extremely drunken manner --Oliver Reed style-- shout and scream and throw bananas all over the place and demand photos with Donkey Kong while holding more bananas in my hands before being rugby tackled by 5'6 Nintendo security. Most likely deported straight away. Worth it.

Book the Ghibli Museum through here. It's an official travel company partner who do a walking tour through the nearby park. It's a guaranteed ticket at the end so no fighting a queue of 30,000 people in the world's most autistic online booking system. Tickets go up a couple months beforehand. Use a credit card which won't get blocked.

I did it last month and it was fantastic.

Can't wait for it to open down here in FL. Might get an annual pass again since it's been awhile that I've been to universal and such as well
