There is a shot of an old newspaper article on the two scientists in the Project Leda picture, Susan and Ethan Duncan who died in an explosion in their laboratory. That should put an end to the theory that it's Mrs. S. in the picture who could never have been a professor in 1977. Maria Doyle Kennedy was born in 1964 and on the fake passport she had made she was born in 1965.
Still unclear is how cloning was done successfully in the early 1980's. I think there was a single unique case like Henrietta Lacks that produced all the clones and this was lost in the lab explosion, either destroyed or taken and hidden by someone opposed to the whole thing.
