Theory time!
Does it seem pretty obvious that the point with the clones was not the clones themselves but the super-human children they have? And that so many clones were produced in order to increase the chances at one of them being able to have a child? Thus the source of the disease in the non-fertile clones being their uterus- something went wrong.

Holy shit, the pace of this show is lightyears ahead of anything else out there.

Episode 3 was packed, not a second wasted.

- Several jawdropping moments this ep: Kira candidly asking Cal, Alison falling, car crash
- Sarah's storyline was the most compelling this episode
- I'm all behind Cal; great new character and endearing too
- Fresh sight to see Felix do drama; not sure I get why he bolted so soon (anyone?)
- Best moment from Sarah's thread is the family bonding getting ruined by Daniel
- Cosima meeting Jennifer was uncomfortable to watch, doubly so when they started literally opening her up
- Apart from that, Cosima didn't do much, but she remains the sexiest clone
- Angie going undercover was fun to watch
- Alison's downward spiral makes me sad; she'll probably go full Helena :(
- Helena tearing up after the baptism (?) was a curious moment
- Still not sure whether I like where they're going with Helena
- I predict Grace will be end up being a big bad this season

Whenever a game uses "middleware," I expect mediocrity. Just see how poor TLOU looks.
I'm wondering why Dylan Bruce and his Academy-Award level acting skills are still in the opening credits? He's been absent from the last 2 episodes of a 10 episode season, and not in next week's preview either.

If you watched that Cloneversation show, there was a clip involving him that hasn't happened yet
can't recall exactly but I think it was a conversation between him and Rachel about him becoming her monitor?
. I'm guessing he'll be back either next episode or the one after.

He mentioned being intimately familiar with Sarah's bullshit. I think he had an image that it was going to be him, Sarah, and Kira on the lam, and with how often Sarah talks about that sort of thing (them making a new life together somewhere else), and him not really believing her, having him go along with her plan and him going way far out of his comfort zone, only to have him kept in the dark again and Sarah following an alternate plan, he knew it was just another instance of Sarah promising something he would otherwise want to believe, but can't because he knows that she'll just fail to deliver, so a part of him is angry that he was taken along for a ride yet again, yet it's probably more sad than anything because he feels that Sarah failed to really consider him and he knows that's kind of just how she is, which is disappointing. That's how I read it at least.

Praise the lawd, because he's the worst actor on the show by far.

I love that Alison saw right through Angie's bullshit immediately (even though she wrong about the bullshit... she knew it was bullshit!).

I shot people I like more for less.
Man, Cosima watching those videos and then operating on the corpse. Thought that was well done. Really felt bad for Felix. Sarah told him over and over that they'd leave and start over somewhere, and it turns out she didn't even really mean it. I think his actor did a good job there. The scene where Daniel showed up was good too. They kept framing the shots at Cal's place with the window prominently in view, so I knew something had to come of that. I liked how you could see Kira walk all the way to the chicken coop and also see Daniel's car pull up, sort of out of focus, before the view shifted. Loved the Alison-Angie interactions (especially Alison calling her out on her shit), and knew the musical would end poorly. The Helena stuff at the end was pretty unsettling too. Next week looks great, can't wait.

I don't know if that was due to her being smart and perceptive so much as her just being totally paranoid. I think she's close to a mental breakdown at this point.

What is totally paranoid?

However, she correctly deduced that Angie gave a bullshit address through logic. She just didn't believe that she was anything else but people from the Dyad Institute. Too many factions going on.

3 weeks of full speed plot development. I hope they can keep this up, we are miles ahead of where I expected things to begin this season.

Yes, that makes sense. I've read similar interpretations. And there's also the Alison factor. He ditched her and probably felt guilty about it.

Alison definitely plays a role in it, I think. Being that Felix seems to have always played an outside role to Sarah's "bullshit," he sees in Alison a sister that actually needs him genuinely. He wants to be needed by Sarah and desires to play a valuable role in her life but from his perspective it rarely turns out that way.

Delighted that Angie was exposed immediately, feel like most shows would string that along. I was even looking forward to Angie + Allison adventures but glad they kept Allison sharp (about that).

Cal's on 3 shows that my wife's watching now so he must be one busy, jet-setting dude.

Aiii

So not worth it
Nice to see Michiel Huisman in this, always cool to see Dutch people in shows.

Dude is everywhere, Nashville, Game of Thrones, now this. Not sure who his agent is, but give that guy a bonus at the end of the year Michiel.

Sarah is starting to become my least favorite of the main three. Why in god's name, after everything that has happened this series so far, would you allow your frequently-targeted and kidnapped daughter run off by herself ever?

It's crazy how much I'm enjoying Allison and Felix now after being annoyed silly with them in early season 1. Cosmia is great as always, lol'd @ her Leekie impression.

Didn't even realise Cal was Nu Daario at first. Shows how much of an impression he's making on that show.

Fantastic episode, as ever the plot moves at a very enjoyable pace. Cosima's Leekie impression killed me. Truly a woman of 1000 voices.

I both love this show, and still get annoyed with it.

It's still very janky. Sarah meets up with Cal and they hook up in a day or so. Even with their past, the whole thing just seemed forced.

Also, I just have to roll my eyes at the plot-convenience that Sarah would let Kira off on her own like that. It's not like she's been kidnapped and taken hostage whenever she's been alone basically HER ENTIRE LIFE.

ugh I know right? The moment Kira was like "I'mma go feed the chickens" and neither Sarah nor her new/old boytoy follow her into that MASSIVE backyard I'm just thinking "Lord have mercy are these two people dense????!!!" and right on cue, you see a truck roll up in the distance :/

She's kind of a terrible mother, TBF. Almost Lori-levels of bad parenting.

I think they wanted to show us, that Sarah feels save in Cal's house. But the viewer is smarter.

Sarah really wanted to have this nice little family with her, Kira, and Kira's dad because she never got that for herself as a child. She decided to embrace that dream for just a little bit and because of that she let her guard down.

I had no issues in that scenario with Sarah letting Kira outside. She was right in view. I did have an issue with little miss perception not hearing a car pull up next to the building she's feeding chickens at.

That was my issue with it as well. And the delayed reaction when Kira cried out.
