I shot people I like more for less.
Really great premiere, and it's awesome that Helena is back. Did not expect that at all. Loved Sarah using Alison and posing as Cosima to get to Rachel. Sarah was so badass in that scene with Rachel.

I loved the premiere...so glad it's back. I'm sure these have been mentioned but...

Paul has to go! What a terrible damn actor...I didn't even realize that he had helped Sarah get her confrontation with Rachel until I read about it in the AV club's review. He literally has one emotion and it's brooding...He belongs in Twilight, not here. God awful!

Allison really is the best. She is BY FAR the best character in the show and it's more than just because of the comedic aspects of her. She is, in my opinion, kinda broken...she's been manipulated all her life evidenced by the fact that her husband is her monitor and has naturally developed a paranoia that led to her murdering someone. I think that there is an element of a split personality with her too...she strives to live a "perfect" life and to be the perfect mother but there is another side that is VERY violent and I think we've only seen the start of her descent.

I love the nuances Tatiana gives each character but Allison is particularly great. Every time the real world encroaches on her fantasy (family life), her hands meet her face as if she's putting a mask on or at least hiding behind one.

Lastly, Paul sucks.

We will get Orphan Black numbers today, but they haven't put out a press release yet. I'm so curious.

EDIT: BOOM!!!!

#OrphanBlack S2 premiere up 97% among adults 18-49. Is BBC America's No. 2 scripted series ever, behind only Doctor Who. (via BBC America)

I don't watch the show but its great to see Tatiana Maslany getting some love. She was terrific in heartland and always thought she could carry her own show.

Whenever a game uses "middleware," I expect mediocrity. Just see how poor TLOU looks.
aw why is everyone so harsh on Paul? Dylan Bruce isn't the best actor, sure, but he's not that bad! And he surrrre is pretty ........

Um, yes he is. He's a fucking saltine. He's blander than my shoe. He's got the emotional depth of a gum wrapper. Seriously every time he comes on the screen, I yell "look, Data is trying out his new emotion chip" which is ironic because Brent Spiner who was actually playing a robot showed more emotion.

I just caught up. Very endearing episode and a good way to start the season. I'm surprised by how little I care about the whole conspiracy part of the show, but I appreciate that it looks like the writers are going to explain what's the deal with patenting humans, which seems like the most insane thing they could ever pull as long as keeping the suspension of disbelief goes. I also loved that Cosima's Beta Buddy made another appearance.

Keep being ackward awesome, dude.

Fe + Alison continue to steal the best lines (I smell lesbians in my bed/What the dickens gave me a genuine belly laugh IRL) and Cosima was cute as a button. That little hand wave at Ramon...

I'm past 30 and crushing like a teenager. Too damn cute, sapphic inclinations and all.

I was also surprised by how much I enjoyed Sarah's part and even more shocked by Rachel. Tat played Corporate Megabitch with mature aplomb, only lacking a twirly moustache, which made even more interesting how quickly she BTFO as soon as Sarah pulled her gun. Other shows would try to portray her as an impervious hardass, but you can tell she's *terrified* of actual violence like the one she's more than willing to dish out. Here's hoping we see a lot more of her.

As for Helena... TBH, I was a bit let down. I would have preferred if she remained dead or they reintroduced her much later as a surprise, but she's always incredibly enjoyable in her own twisted way ("excuse me, my sestra shot me"), so I won't complain too much. I just wish I didn't read some spoiler that ruined the surprise for me. Oh well.

Honorable lols to Big Dick Paul for not enjoying Sarah hitting him in his pretty face and to this cheeky little twit:

Things Paul didn't do during hiatus: more acting classes
Cold and mean.

He's not that bad in Arrow... but then again he shares his scenes with Katie Cassidy...

Nice. Well deserved. I expect a big drop, but who knows with the kind of crazy following it has developed over time.

Oh man, I already forgot the awkward kid on the bus. I wonder what the actor thought when he read the script for the first time :lol

As a former suburbanite, Alison makes me curl my toes in horror. I know she's a crazy caricature played for fun, but there are so many things in her that mirror my former neighbours. The neurosis, the pill popping, her love for crafts, that naive (and totally unappreciated by her husband) love for community theatre...

*cringe*

I actually find him much, much worse in Arrow. In Orphan Black all he's expected to do is brood. In Arrow he's supposed to be charming and he has "clever" dialogue and he comes off like a god damn alien in a human suit.

Anyone find it a little convoluted?

Like, it's been a while since I've seen season one, but I found it difficult to follow at times.

Yeah, Sarah was a goddamn boss this episode, and she earned a lot of respect points from me.

As far as I'm concerned, S1 Sarah was barely a device for the plot to advance forward. S2 Sarah is shaping up surprisingly more interesting. Same with Rachel, whom I find plain out intriguing.

Love this show. So glad Helena is back. It's hard to choose a favorite clone but she's definitely one or two.

The show's attention to detail is pretty amazing. Tatiana made this after season one as a thanks to the fans:

And now Alison's little note with the flowers/gun in the same Alison handwriting:

So, does Canada have 'feds', or are the writers really blurring the line on the country this happens in? This and the supreme court mention seemed more confusing than anything last season.

Alison, still the best.
