Well, Fillon's been indicted, so I'm certain he will do as he promised and end his run.

The investigation over Macron is not really something that should be important, it was a mistake made by a company when he was part of the government. French law stipulates that for state budgets over I don't know how much money you have to legally create a call for bids to be sure there is no rigged contracts. For an event in Vegas, one company was called to organize the thing without the use of a preliminary call for bids. Macron was there. He isn't even mentioned in this part of the investigation. It's more frenchpress trying to make some noise. So now, Macron, Fillon and LePen are all under investigation? What the fuck

Macron didn't even organized the thing, he was just there as an official. That's the whole thing.
Le Pen and Fillon on the other hand are more in danger as they are personally involved. Hence their "don't trust the judges" stance.

Exactly. This helps no one.It seems stupid not to give his "parrainage" to Hamon, it's not like it means a lot. He could do it to show that he accepts the results of the primaries, and then not support him actively during the campaign. Something similar to what Juppé does for Fillon.
A FN party offfical was forced to resign recently for holocaust denial

It's not a vestige, it's the true face of the FN. The face that Philipot try to hide so they can win an election. But it's hard to hide everything.Seems they still haven't rooted out all the vestiges of her dad's party.

This morning, people were discussing polls on the radio and pointed out that the fact all these polls are made online is pretty problematic.Oof. Ifop has Fillon down to 18%. Hammon at 13.5%. Macron only .5% behind Le Pen...
Just read that story about that kid who got beat at the end of a Fillon meeting because he didn't want to sing the national anthem. These people are something else.

I'm not even touching the Grasse story, but there's a lot of very thick irony there.

For the gaffers who actually live in France, how do the young people see him? Does he have anywhere near the magnetism of Bernie?
He's quite popular among the youth, but it's probably because he's the youngest potential president we've ever had. But the young aren't following the details of politics closely, and vote either for contestation or for the most charismatic candidate.
As a matter of fact Macron is tied in popularity with... Marine le Pen. :/ Third is Melenchon, then Hamon, and Fillon is dead last.
(source French TV this morning)
They just started, and it's supposed to last 3 hours, so better wait for a recap.
Melenchon is on fucking fire hahaha. He looks like he desperately want to throw a jab into MLP's mouth.
I was thinking the same thing. Between his high turnout in Paris on Saturday and this debate... could he actually have a chance?
