That's why.
Hahahahahaha. That was a good one.

ANNNNNND the black dude is comic relief. Nice work Insomniac..
They are all comic relief dude.

Hell, not even relief, the whole game is supposed to be kinda funny (or at least the characters).

I like red head and black guy. They both seem cool from their bits in the trailer.

This game looks promising, but why does it have to have such a shitty name and generic logo? Only people who know who Insomniac is are gonna pick it up. Someone who sees that logo and name is going to instantly assume it's shovelware.

Like an uber-violent Saturday morning cartoon meets The Incredibles. I think it looks pretty cool honestly.

Yep, gave me that vibre as well.

Much welcome relief from the sea of "Battlefield: Gears of Duty 3". Concept looked great in the trailer.

I was right! Team/Class based co-op sweetness... That Resistance 2 mode could not go to waste just like that! And the trailer is just classic Insomniac. Pixar level CG, dripping humor, and I just can't wait to watch gameplay on this puppy... gimme gimme gimme.

Kudos.

Guessing the game is still not ready to be shown? Want to see it in action. Glad that they're focusing on the characters and keeping that Insomniac humor.

It's definitely the Sony first-party game I've enjoyed most this generation and I don't see what's so crazy about saying it. Great pacing, tons of content, nailed the fundamentals of the series and added some great working new mechanics. Looked great. Sounded great.

Boring and cliche as hell.

I can give you cliche. Those archetypes are present in hundreds of games and not only in shooters. The heavy/tank guy, the rogue/fast guy, the supporter/"magic" guy, the range attack/sniper guy. But those work in a team base game because they can give each player a type of gameplay that suits better their liking and varied enough from the other characters while giving the player a sense of contribution to the team effort. Boring? You're just crazy.

I think character/personality wise it looks great and if the gameplay works with those weapons it could be really fun.

But gameplay rules all so we'll see.

Eh, at least the art style is okay. The trailer was trying way too hard to be funny, sledgehammering the "look, the stuff the main character is saying clashes with the footage of the team. Isn't that HILARIOUS?!" into your brain. I did perk up a bit when the trailer revealed the bald Russian guy to be a robot, and some of the powers and weapons (cloaking, reflector shield, explosive silver goo) looked interesting.

Will reserve final judgment upon seeing non-CG media. More like R&C than Resistance, please.

Don't forget, it can be enjoyed by a 40+ year old AND a 7 year old.

There aren't enough titles out there that can be highly enjoyable for multiple age groups.

Can someone please confirm this title is 3rd person? I don't want to have to drive downtown tomorrow just to find out.

Watching the trailer kind of reminded me of Team Fortress more than anything. Also hate that dumb, "I'm nice guy", cartoon look on their faces.

OMG.

This game reminds me of Spyborgs.
Yeah me too, it reminded me of what the ex-Insomniac guys said they wanted Spyborgs to be. A cartoon.

this looks really cool imo ... great mix of resistance and R&C .

maybe some of the lines missed but i love the make up of the 4 characters, angry guy, kickass chick ... i'm in.

will this be on the show floor???

haha that was a fun trailer. Seconded on Crack in Time possibly being the best Sony published game this gen.

....maybe Uncharted 2 giving it a run for it's money...maybe.

This looks awesome. So glad it's on 360 so I can badger my friends who love co-op into playing it with me. Insomniac has my $$ no matter what.

I assume its a third person shooter. The title is very generic .. "Overstrike". If the gunplay is tight and I actually care about the characters, could be a buy.

It looks like Left 4 Dead and The Incredibles had a love child. I don't know what to think.

I always found the R&C titles to be very charming, but in the end a flat experience for me. Compared to the other top quality titles Sony has published this generation, it comes off as laughable.
