That's not really a buff, just a QoL thing. I'm glad it's getting added though, using her cannons to cancel boost is muscle memory at this point so I need to adjust
Sarcasm, dude.
I'm running out of fingers to work with this on console. I'm already crab clawing the controller as it is.
This actually makes things easier. Right now, to cancel boosters, you need to either press the bound booster button or you need to press melee (which interrupts your firing)
If this works like Soldier's run, then boosters will only go as far as you hold the bound button. I currently have it assigned to L3 on Soldier's, and all I have to do is click it once while holding forward, then soldier continually runs until I stop holding forward. It's basically the call of duty run.
I had D.Va's Rocket boosters on L3 as well, because I thought that would be the best situation. Turns out not to be the case and I had to switch it back to L1 and put the Micro Missiles on L3. Better, but not ideal either, because L3 as a weapon button feels really weird.
I'm currently experimenting with moving Melee to O and having Micro Missiles on R3, and this is the best combination so far, but it means you have to take your thumb off the right stick to Melee. Which I feel isn't too bad, because I rarely use it as D.Va (usually it feels like it's better to just keep firing. This is not true for all characters, but it feels true of D.Va).
BTW, realizing that I don't need Melee on R3 let me figure out the perfect Ana controls. I was worried that I'd have to just accept one of heavily aim dependent her abilities being on a face button, but no. You just gotta give up Melee to the face buttons, which is an easy trade.
Not if you're ulting, I guess, but otherwise, it's pretty hard on consoles.
