Yup, I always vote someone who heals a lot, has high objective time, or a lot of objective kills before I vote for anyone else because those people were obvious game changers.

Up to tonight, hooks and dying behind covers have been minimal, but tonight it's been horrible.
Two times roadhog has hooked me when on my screen the hook is on the top right hand corner and it magically drags itself to me. that is some high level horseshit, and still dying to hanzo after I go behind a wall, even on his kill cam

I mean it in the way that it's the only current "Hero-Shooter" that isn't riding the MOBA bandwagon like Battleborn and Paragon are.
...And coincidentally, thus far the only successful "Hero-Shooter" among the current stable.

Dumb shit I tested:
- Genji can melee-cancel his primary fire before throwing the third shuriken. This will eventually lead to him doing a triple toss but only throwing one shuriken with his primary fire. With his alternate fire though, he'll throw three as usual. Don't ask how this works.
- It's well-known already, but Reaper gains a lot from melee-cancelled reloads since he just grabs new, fully loaded guns from hammerspace. Unless you melee-cancel within like 0.1s, in which case the new guns will not be fully loaded.
- Maybe my eyes are deceiving me, but Roadhog's melee is so slow that cancelling a reload with it is worthless. Not so worthless is cancelling it with a hook or, when out of combat, a breather.
- All four supports (Lucio, Mercy, Symmetra, Zenyatta) do not gain anything out of reload-cancelling. Far as I can tell, it actually causes a delay in them being able to fire again. Zenyatta in particular can fire almost instantly after a reload, so you should never do it.
- All other characters, far as I can tell, gain just a bit from melee-cancelling their reloads.

I think the main reason battle born lost the fight against overwatch was the fact that you had to unlock most of the heroes, which locks out most of the variety in the game. Overwatch shines from allowing all characters right away. Also, you know...everything else that overwatch is better at, like the shooting and everything else.

He should not be able to shred a tank, I agree. However if you're anything else and repeatedly die to him that is your own fault entirely. I cannot say I've had an issue with a McCree yet.

DVA is pretty good at putting down torbjorn turrets and ambushing Bastion. Key word for Bastion is ambush. If you head straight on even with your defensive matrix, you'll melt after it disappears unless your hop over and reverse shoot game is strong (and the bastion is below average).

It's probably still worth it if you happen to be in melee range, but it's not some crazy game breaking advantage.
I'm not sure why people freak out when I pay Mei on attack during escort maps.
I block off snipers, Bastions, and turrets easily, stop destructive ults that are going to wipe everyone on the payload, and block off chokepoints so we can move the payload with being under fire.
Also I generally get gold or silver for eliminations on my team too.

Seriously. I've seen Mcree destroy tank after tank. Still, he can be put down most of the time. It's just times when he gets the drop on you with the flashbang, then he has a good chance at destroying and if he doesn't do so with the right-click, then he can just roll and put a solid couple shots in.
Slight nerfing needed, for sure. Hanzo makes a great counter to McCree though, in my experience. I destroy him with a solid headshot, but that's because you can keep damn good distance from that flashbang.
But those King of the Hill rounds with 3 McCrees... yeah...

Thanks for this, I was under the impression it was faster. All it means really is that he can take out a melee hit as part of his reload. Most other characters have to sacrifice reload time to go for a melee hit.

I don't think battle born is a bad game. I played the beta and had a lot of fun playing it, I just think it has a lot of similar qualities to overwatch and overwatch does them better.
Huh, I'm surprised it is that close. I rarely play Reaper but when I do it is already habit to melee after reload. It might only be an advantage in melee like you said.

O). I think it is more the reverse where people just counter and change up their play style to counter McCree at this level (non pubs). Maybe that is not happening in your games? I can definitely clean up with him around a pub game, but I don't think balancing should be based around that. Otherwise everyone would be nerfed if the community got its way.Edit : As somebody said just before too; His flash should probably be hit only to work. I've been practicing that just in case haha.

Both teams were farming the achievements with all the characters! They were using some server or something to work together, nice bunch of people really but I didn't stick around. They had been going for nearly an hour at that point. Actually wondered if it was some here after.

Well yeah it's "worse." I mean it completely removes predetermined strategy. But for some reason I find it fun as hell. It's chaos.

Yeah that's my guess as well. Between this and the whole reaper situation mercy seems to have a lot of skeletons in her closet.
She also has a taunt where she check her pulse, then laughs like it's a joke. And it's called "no pulse". which was weird. I totally thought she was an android of some sort before looking up her backstory.

Bunch of basic functionality on the front end they need to catch up with. Really wild there's no expanded chat functionality or even a way to opt out of general.

Sorry, what I meant was just less fun to me. I like the strategy involved in the regular game. Removing all that and having a bunch of Genji's and Hanzo's jumping around was just boring.
