So I don't normally try to engage in political discussions but my God, this just broke my heart.

"According to initial reports, a Ten month old child ‘Bisma’ died whilst being stuck in traffic due to Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto’s protocol movement.

Bilawal accompanied by Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah were en-route to inaugurate a trauma centre in Liyari.

When asked by reporters, CM Qaim Ali shah failed to comment on the child’s death rather lauded the achievement of the newly made trauma centre."

For those of you who aren't aware, Bilawal Bhutto is the son of Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari. Zardari was the president before the current one, and his mother was Prime Minister in the 90s and was an extremely influential figure in Pakistani Politics. This kid is supposed to be the one who eventually takes over the reigns for the party once his dad retires.

Benazir was just recapturing the love that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had, who was legitimately a man of the people.

When Benazir died, the sympathy vote got Zardari to office but after the rampant corruption, PPP support is mainly limited to the rural areas of Sindh where they've always had support.

And btw, it turns out that the father of the 10-month old used to be a PPP worker.

Hah. Plenty of times I remember being stuck in traffic for hours because some politician asshole is going somewhere and has the entire street blockaded just so his limo and security reunite can zoom past without even having to slow down. So fucking feudal and corrupt.
