It seems like every game that has DLC, has a 'Complete' or 'Game of the Year' edition out a year later with all the DLC and for a cheaper price.

No. It's better to wait. Definitive and better version, cheaper, plus you can avoid overhyped games.

so Uncharted 2 PAL is going to have the old box art? it was weird with FIFA 10 because the catalogues showed the new box art but when i went to the store, it was still spiderman

any idea which game will be first with the new style?

Actually looks as though Midnight Club (Platinum) will be the first on the 16th Oct :/ Then the likes of Eyepet, PES10 and Borderlands the week after. It's going to look pretty messy having some one way and some the other over the coming months until they finally get sorted.

Not sure why Uncharted 2 isn't going to get the new treatment here. Would have been the best one to start with.

Would be a temporary placeholder image from London Studio. The background shown there is just using art assets from the original 2007 PS3 release. It's probably just a temporary placeholder from London Studio/SCEE until the finalise the proper one.
