Man screw the X-Men movies.

Also, The Avengers isn't as good as it was the first time. Like, it falls apart upon multiple watches but it's still fine. Not in my top 10 but eh

What a silly list. There is only like a hundred to begin with, so really you're just ranking all superhero movies released. A "Top ___" list with that garbage adaptation of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen on it tells me immediately they should have narrowed it down to top 25.

I really don't get the love for X-Men: Days of Future Past.

It's really well-paced, easy to get through, has some pretty solid performances (specifically Dinklage and Fassbender), Quicksilver scene is one of my favorite scenes in a modern superhero film, good effects, and it has a really tight, focused cast. It doesn't get lost in trying to give 25 people equal screen time. For example, Quicksilver was more a cameo than anything. They knew how long to use him, and so he didn't steal as much of the focus as he could have stolen.

There are a few Ninja Turtles films that got left out

The 3 best movies on there are Scott Pilgrim, TMNT 1990, and Toxic Avenger. And two of them are lower than Suicide Squad. Fuck, what an embarrassing list.

Spider-Man 2 is overrated as fuck.

While a good movie, is not that good by today's standards.
The whole plot of Peter loses his powers due to sadness will never not be dumb to me.

DOFP has some great character moments between Fass and McAvoy and that Quicksilver scene that everybody likes but not much else.

X-Men 2 is overrated it deserves a spot in the mid 20s or 30s, and personally I think X3 is a much more coherent and servicable movie than X-Men Apocalypse, which is straight up gutter trash. Not even normal trash, no it is the strange ugly trash that hangs in the gutter and is even rejected by the sewers.

Wait, what in the sweet baby Jesus, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) is ranked only one spot above Amazing Spider-Man 2, two spots above Spawn, and is ranked below Man of Steel, Amazing Spider-Man, and The Phantom?! What in the actual fuck is this garbage list?

Fuck this list, TMNT 1990 is fantastic

They seem to be WAY overrating basically everything by Marvel (Studios) and also generally everything from the last 10 years.

30. Superman
31. X-Men
32. Thor: The Dark World
33. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
34. Blade
I mean, c'mon.

The Toxic Avenger being at 91 is also a disgrace. The original Toxic and its 3rd sequel (Citizen Toxie) are both better than over half of the films listed.

Scott Pilgrim is great but I'm not sure it counts as a superhero movie. For one: Scott Pilgrim isn't a superhero.

Also, what in the hell is going on with Helen Slater in this pic:

Are those her ribs? Or a really painful looking harness strapped around her torso?

I really don't get the love for X-Men: Days of Future Past.

I think it's a bit overrated. I liked it a lot the first time, but less and less on rewatch.

I was going to say that it's partly that the Marvel films raised the bar quite a bit in a genre that has been more hit than miss until recently, but yeah, Thor 2 being that high demonstrates a recentism bias.

To be fair, Deadpool isn't a superhero either. Scott Pilgrim to me very clearly falls into the superhero genre, even if Scott himself is a jerk (which they didn't really depict adequately in the film at all).

It's really weird. It looks like a promo picture too, which makes me wonder if this is something that they literally couldn't hide.

Thor 2 isn't a bad movie though, it's boring af and the second worst MCU movie, but it's still an alright movie.

Yeah, but there are legit good movies that Thor 2 beat out. I'm not saying Thor 2 is shitty, but either superhero movies are more bad than good (...I mean yeah), or Thor 2 has a contact high from their love of MCU.

Like, opinions and all, but seeing Mask of the Phantasm and Batman Returns feels bizarre to me.

Thor 2: The Dark World has the Captain America cameo which is more than I can say about a lot of these movies but putting it above Blade or Scott Pilgrim is some grade-A bullshit.

Laughing my ass off at The Incredibles. It was so boring as a kid / teenager. But at least Guardians of the Galaxy and Civil War made it to the top 10.

I mean it's valid that you don't like it, but The Incredibles is, I'm pretty sure, the highest-ranked superhero film on IMDB as well according to their top 250. This movie ain't no slouch.

The Incredibles is one of the best Pixar movies and one of the best movies about Superheroes

Example of a wrong opinion

The Shadow and The Phantom are waaaay better then their listings imo.

So are Batman 1989, Mask of the Phantasm and Iron Man. They're better then every film in the top five.

Superman's too low as well.

this is a list all right

Where did Robocop and The Toxic Avenger place?

I don't think RoboCop counts as a super hero movie. Which, on that note, is kind of why I'm surprised Scott Pilgrim is on the list - I don't consider that a super hero movie at all.

That top 10 is... ehhh.

My top 10:

1) The Incredibles

2) Spider-Man 2

3) Batman: Mask of the Phantasm

4) Superman

5) Captain America: The Winter Soldier

6) Captain America: The First Avenger

7) The Dark Knight

8) Iron Man

9) Batman Begins

10) Deadpool

A few minor nitpicks aside, I'm really cool with this list.

I dunno. Dead guy reincarnated as a crime-fighting cyborg fits comfortably within the genre.

I'd probably go:

1) Mask of the Phantasm
2) Batman 1989
3) Iron Man
4) Superman
5) Cap 2
6) Guardians of the Galaxy
7) Deadpool
8) Batman Returns
9) Superman 2
10) The Rocketeer

Not a nolan fan, not a sony spiderman film fan, and incredibles is one of my least favourite pixar films.

I mean, yeah, I consider RoboCop a super hero movie personally but I don't think it fit the criteria for the list. Probably for the better too because if RoboCop was included it would immediately be #1 and create a huge quality gap between #1 and the remainder of the top 10 ;)

The salt regarding the Avengers is always amusing.

I've seen almost every film on that list and lots of them in the cinema and none of them match the cinema experience of watching Avengers opening night. The audience were practically bouncing off the walls by the end. It deserves all the praise it gets.

Why does this matter in regards to the quality of the film?

People at my BvS were cheering as well.

Heck, I went to the Friday the 13th (2007) midnight showing and people were cheering when someone got killed or tits were shown.

This is a very good point.

The Incredibles is the best Fantastic Four movie to date.

Relax. There's no wrong opinions here. I do know the movie is highly regarded, and it is also one of those I'll give a rewatch. The last time I saw it was as a teenager, and I found it utterly boring, so that's what I got from it. But I do understand how it can rank #1.
