Path of Exile 2 Early Access |OT| An Exile like ARPG.

Started a new character with sorc and things are feeling much better. I saw some streamers with similar experiences. I look forward to seeing how the class tuning evolves over the next few months.

Damn, the bosses are really hard, died all the time so i've decided for a time out.
Yeah, the worm? Killed me like 4 times or so. It's hard but also a pretty cool fight, if all bosses are like this then wow.

Time to hit the bed, but im definitely waking up early tomorrow :D

Game feels really easy with merc so far, im melting everyone and havent even used any of my flasks. The reload mechanic took a bit of time to get used to, but now it feels super good. Already found an OP unique at lvl 3 :D

Loving everything about this, so much better than PoE 1

Playing on PS5 and input lag is awful, makes the whole game feel bad and clunky to be honest. Also when I'm warping on a different map asks me to choose instance and I see Sao Paolo. I'm playing from Japan, don't tell me they don't even have servers in Asia...

Doesn't feel too bad to me 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, killed me once, switched to Monk who I found a sweet staff for, ran there and killed it in 10 seconds. No joke. If you're having issues farm the early instances until you get a lucky drop if you don't want to rely on skill alone.

Man, that sucks. I know what you're feeling. It was like that on the Series S. I wonder if the default servers are borked in console sometimes? There is just no way I was connecting to the same server as my PC cause it was awful.

Good advice, i should farm these instances, hopefully i get a good drop.

Did you pick the right server when you logged in?

I'm giving up hope I'll be able to play today, so I'll just head off to bed. I'm still being locked out with this kick in the nuts message:

Hopefully they got it sorted tomorrow.

I have to say the warrior build stun into boneshatter is quite fun. Issue is my timing is awful but I think once I have a rhythm it will feel even better.

Trying to check online and from what I'm seeing they say there have no Asian servers for PoE1 on console. Surely that must be a mistake. Honestly not exaggerating, it feels awful to play there's a micro delay in every input.

Doesn't let you choose anything on console.
Oooof. On pc you can select multiple asian servers, i didn't look but i saw at least a couple including hong kong and i think singapore

Nevermind I was auto Gateway. Got disconnected now. I see Japan server will go back in the queue and report. That input lag was just off-putting

Edit : just changed and no queues actually. Input lag still there.

Also I cannot find how to have the passive skills for 2nd weapon (rocking 1h hammer and board and 2h hammer on 2nd slot).

There is a skill to let you switch weapons but it keeps the same skills in the slot so what's the point🥴

Played just over an hour. It's very good. Using the Mercenary I've found it to be a little defensive style wise, but I've got through all bosses I've come across.

Question though, I switched input to controller and I don't know how to fire weapons?? I feel like a complete idiot a this point....

Probably both, lol. I think i have to level some time to beat him.
Yeah this caught me out - esp after POE1 - this game is happy to let you wander into bosses early that require a bit of gear to beat - currently the drop rates seem pretty low so it's quite possible that the casual drops you find along the way aren't sufficient. A little bit a targeted killing helps considerably,

Not really feeling the Witch. Gonna give Sorceress a try.
Slow burn. Once you unlock more skills you start to develop your own playstyle. I feel like you can really take off once you get Essence Drain as your filler spell. Mostly bee relying on Contagion and FIre Wall for DoT damage.

Sorceress seems more straightforward.

When I get higher level skill gems I am interested in seeing what a Fire Beam build can do.

As you progress in the game, you'll be able to split up your skill points to tailor each weapon

Skills, passive skill gems, skill points... Will I be able to re-spec all this stuff later?

That is me for the night. Really good so far. My wife will be playing with me tomorrow so I might roll a new character to play with her but I am enjoying the warrior. Earthquake into Boneshatter is a good combo as I found rolling slam did too much damage and it can leave you worse off than setting up the boneshatter aoe if your accuracy is not quite on point. Rolling slam is good for keeping mobile though so has it's own use as a gap closer or even an escape move if I can get used to the dual stick controls for moving and aiming in different directions.

As much as i like Grim Dawn, this one looks even better. More polished gameplay wise.
Playing with DualSense controller on PC. Anyone else?

It's more of a 'me' issue than anything. I've rarely jived with necro and dot style builds and this is likely no different. Probably wasn't a good idea to learn the game with a class I've historically not been a fan of.

Sorceress is fun though.

Loving Witch. Got 2 melee skeletons and 2 Archer skeletons with a poison AOE each. Bone spikes creating more minions to swarm enemies, which in turn get bone-spiked to create more minions. When bosses have adds, they're just letting get more free minions to harass them as I stack curses.

Lost 3 hours to the game already. Kinda want to go back in but I really need 2 sleep.

Enjoying the little I've gotten to play so far, but damn, that text on PS5 is TINY and my old man eyes are having trouble with it. Also, the game randomly turns into a slideshow and there's definitely some input lag, but I suspect that's a server thing.

I love the camera distance. Seems perfect. PoE 1 has always been too close for me. So far with the first few skills Warrior is the toughest class. Ranger and Monk seem like easier modes. Melee can be rough but I still like him the best. All three are awesome.

I'm playing as warrior and having the time of my life. Hate to make the comparison but with this class, between the blocking and dodging, it really feels like a souls game. Plus the mechanic of building stun is fun and very engaging.

I've made some progress, just beat a boss in a mausoleum and it's been the most kino bossfight I've seen in a game like this one. Very good stuff.
