DO you always use your desktop display to play your games on or do you use your tv? Do you use a mix of both?

I personally use a splitter one end to my 32" gaming monitor and one to my 65" oled. I bounce back and forth depending on my mood.

Tried the "hook up my PC to my tv and chill on the couch" approach but found it lacking and not so comfortable as console gaming so now I'm getting a real monitor and desk for the proper way when it comes to PC gaming.

Depends on the game or if my jet engine gfx card annoys me. I can stream my pc to any TV in my house.

I can't remember the last time I played on a desk. And playing a game with a mouse will blow up my rsi. I use an air mouse on the couch for games that need that.

When I first switched to full on PC I did use my 49" 4k tv, but it started playing up so instead of a new tv I went with a monitor and was very happy with the choice. My TV was "only" 60 fps, and my monitor after was 165, I think.

*When I first switched to PC I didn't even have a desk. I had my chair, a spare dining room chair, and a wee wireless keyboard with a track pad. Wasn't the most comfortable I've ever been.*

Nowadays, I play on a 32:9 49" OLED monitor and have never been so happy with a screen in my life.

I actually have it in my room and can turn the monitor (has an arm mount) to face my bed, but I have yet to do that. Plus I've a Steam deck that I would use in bed if I wanted.

I built my first gaming PC in 2012 and hooked it up to my TV in the living room. I had it there for a few years until I started working from home more and setup a better PC desk. My kids also got old enough that they were always using the TV, so I retreated to the desk in our old laundry room. We moved into our current house in 2019 and I made a point to buy a place with an extra bedroom just for my office. That was a wise move given my company went fully remote in 2020.

I've thought about replacing my monitor with a TV, but I've gotten so used to the curved screen I don't want to give it up. I'm hoping one of these monitor companies will make a 40-45" QD-OLED monitor that has a reasonable curve and resolution soon. I looked at the 45" LG, but the 1000R curve and 1440 resolution are just deal breakers. Holding out for something better.

Depends on the game and what I am doing. Stuff like strategy games and CRPGs I prefer at my desk on my monitor. Sports and action/adventure games go usually on TV. The rest of the titles could be on either.

Edit: Driving games on TV since that’s where my wheels and pedals are.

Monitor and desk w. good chair for most times. Some couch gaming with Steam Deck docked, Nintendo and Playstation.

But PC 90% of the time.
Also, I much prefer sitting in my chair in front of the desk. Much better for my back / posture.

I have my main PC connected to my 65" inch TV.

I am play EVERYTHING with an Xbox elite controller. Steam input is AMAZING and can do just about anything, even classic PC games.
Just spent 80 hours playing Warhammer Total War 3 with a controller - works great with a custom setup (especially with paddles)

It has made me compltely ignore my Xbox and even my Ps5.

I am getting a new pc with to 5080 next year so I dont see me needing any console.. well ever

I have been couch PC TV gamer since 2013. First game I played on TV was Bioshock Infinite. After seeing that glorious Columbia on 55" plasma with that perfect motion clarity and great colors, I could never go back to a monitor, let alone desk.

Desk, but I'm looking into building a small form-factor gaming rig to put behind my living room TV. I have an RTX A2000 that needs to be put to use, gonna stick it into one of those tiny ThinkCenter PCs for some decent 1080 gaming on my 65" 1080 TV.

I have my PC hooked up to my TV, but most of my gaming is streamed to an ipad, but I also have a portable monitor that I can use.

Couch 80%, desk 20%. It's so much more comfortable sitting on the couch than a desk. Before i used a 50ft hdmi and usb cable to hook my up my pc in the other room to my living room tv. Bought the steam link on day 1 and it's been the greatest thing ever. Now i use a sff pc as the Steam link software has more features than the hardware and 4k. And inb4 the complaints of latency, i've beaten plenty of souls-likes using a steam link such as Elden Ring, Nioh 1+2, The Surge 1+2, Steelrising.

I did 9 years of couch based PC gaming. I moved back to a desk after a move. Both is best, but with the desk I haven't been bothered enough to fish HDMI through the walls to make it happen. The living room is largely dead in this country.

I mix it up. I do like to chill on couch for games that don't really require mechanics or third person action games. But I just recently upgraded my monitor to an oled 360hz monitor so even controller games I'm leaning a bit towards monitor atm. My LG CX still is great though.

I'm mostly at my desk, but if I'm playing solo on a game like Elden Ring or Forza, I'm on a couch on the TV. Diablo 4 is a bit of a mix too. Basically any solo game I'm playing on a controller I might move to the couch.

I have three laptops and steam deck. Two of the laptops are connected to a TV via a couch set up while one is connected to a monitor in a desktop environment, where I generally WFH. Steam deck is pretty much the bedroom.

The desktop is mostly kb and mouse, while the couch setup I find I change both control options pretty evenly.

If there's a game that's more graphics intensive but I want that desktop feel, I'll stream from the couch set up using moonlight/sunlight. Same goes for any games not locally installed on steam deck.

12 years later and 4k still isn't useful.

Couch gamer 99% of the time. the main reasons being i prefer playing on my big screen tv. I have chronic back pain and i literally seize up if i sit at my desk for more than 30mins. I prefer using controller, which is obviously a lot easier to use on a couch than K&M. And all my entertainment runs through my PC to my tv, all the tv, films, music, and games.
