I tried booting up the game again today and restarted new game but it happened again even without changing any settingsThat might be it indeed, glad it seems fixed!
Now enjoy this masterpiece, Expedition 33 is the game of the generation for me so far <3
What tests should I run and what results am I looking for?Techno_Inked try running some more tests, like benchmarks and stuff. If the problems persist, you can RMA it or even return it if it's in the return window.
I tried limiting the fps to 60 and 30. Both didn't work. One other thing to consider is setting FPS limits on the problem games. I used to play a Final Fantasy game that had an uncapped frame rate that would red line my computer trying to squeeze literally every frame it could possible. Other people on the steam forums would report crashing and graphical glitches (I had glitches after some time) and capped the framerate of said game and my case temps came way down and the game was fine afterwards.
What results am I looking for? Is there anything free that I can try?Try bench it with 3DMark
If you get the triangles glitches there as well it's 100% a problematic graphics card.
Nope no smell.5090 are prone to to burning connectors etc. no smell?
Frame gen isn't on.I recently started having some issues on the latest NVIDIA drivers with Mafia Old Country. Turns out it was Frame Gen that was causing it to crash.
Doubt this is the case but how did you find out?I had strange visual glitches and really poor performance with a laptop before. Turned out it was infected and mining crypto for someone.
I checked it seems to be something about the graphics driver so I downloaded DDU and deinstalled the driver. But now I can't even get past the Windows pin login screen oof.Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but check Event Viewer after a crash. There may be more details there. If you see something there, I would copy and paste it into Copilot or some other AI client and get some recommendations that way.
Right Click start button in Windows > Event Viewer > Windows logs > Check Application and System logs

I am able to get into this screen now, any ideas how I can log back into the system?
I'm now in safe mode again and can get least get back into the desktop in safe mode. But if I use the Windows menu to restart won't it get back to the same problem again?Weird shit, I never had any problem with DDU.
Try startup settings and see if safe mode boots correctly. if it does just restart it from windows menu.

No I deinstalled the driver already. So DDU was successful. However when I chose the option to deinstall and restart I can't log back into my computer again while at the login Windows pin screen.Same screen appears? Try "startup repair" maybe. In safe mode I think you can't install drivers sadly.

Basically I'm at 5:38, except I can't login back into windows. It shows the pin login screen but then I can't input anything
I tried restarting using the Windows menu while in safe mode. I think I bricked my PC yikezz. I can get back into the blue screen I showed when trying to restart my PC 3 times after physically shutting it down. Is there anything I can do in the CMD to make me get back into my system using my pin login?Weird indeed. Keyboard works? Try Alt+Ctrl+del - it sometimes helps when I wake up system from sleep and can't log in.
First time I heard about issue like this.

Startup repair gets me into the same blue screen. Trying system restore right nowTry that "startup repair". I think it helped me in the past.
Edit: system restore, it you had it on you can try it.
It was a few years ago so I don't remember 100%, but I think I went to the task manager -> performance -> resource monitor (the three dots in the top right of the performance tab) and then was looking at stuff using a lot of resources that shouldn't be, while I was playing games. I think there was some process in the network part sending data to someplace sketchy and that's how I found specifically what was causing it.Doubt this is the case but how did you find out?
stop downloading pirated games.Hi no, I've never overclocked my GPU or CPU.
Damn you've been of great help this worked!Try that "startup repair". I think it helped me in the past.

I have no idea but it deinstalled the driver. Then when I did a system repair I installed the latest Nvidia driver again and now the game works without any visual glitches and can get past the first cutscene again.I wonder if you uninstalled the graphics driver using DDU, and then, with no driver available, Windows fails to get to the login screen -the system using the generic display driver until it gets to Windows and then imploding. That shouldn't really happen, because Windows should still apply its own default driver until/unless you install something better, but if you have integrated video (a HDMI or other display port on your mobo), just yank the graphics card entirely and see what happens that way. You might have to change a setting in the BIOS for that to work though.
Thanks for the tip man, I'll be on the lookout for this!It was a few years ago so I don't remember 100%, but I think I went to the task manager -> performance -> resource monitor (the three dots in the top right of the performance tab) and then was looking at stuff using a lot of resources that shouldn't be, while I was playing games. I haven't pirated any games since like a decade ago lol. Rebooting didn't help at all. As I've tried for a week.stop downloading pirated games.
my friend had the same issue. bought the game from steam and worked fine. the triangle flashes. happened for him in both expedition 33 and metal gear solid delta.
so that's ur answer.
I think rebooting the PC for him did fix the issue with expedition 33. ( happened to him twice from my understanding, both reboots fixed the problem. stopped caring about his drama with MGS delta.
Because if you are going to invest into something like this, you may want to know what you are doing? Personal development, and all.Huh? Since when do people with money need to know the details?
That's the thing - you have money. There is no incentive to atleast be aware of what - in this case the GPU - does. You can have money and not know how to troubleshoot a PC. Its like BMW M3 owners- very few of them turn their own wrenches.
It's just a red pill, don't overthink it.You can have money and not know how to troubleshoot a PC. Its like BMW M3 owners- very few of them turn their own wrenches.
Yes but lets be real- console is about as bulletproof as you can get. Basically the Toyota of gaming.
What all that have anything to do with plastic and silicon melting? that's unheard of before and quite more severe. There are only two options left, changing the material or doing a complete new architecture from scratch, and fortunately, AI can do this and quite more effective this way tbh than what we're getting from AI right now.I forgot we live in the world with 100% reliable hardware and software:

The most common Xbox Series X problems and how to fix them
The Xbox Series X and S are impressive consoles, but they aren't free of problems. Here, we cover the most common Xbox Series X problems and how to fix them.www.digitaltrends.com
But to think that when people were complaining about UE5 being shitty they were talking about their screen becoming a corrupted mess of triangles before crashing everytime?Huh? Since when do people with money need to know the details? If you can afford it an build it as your first rig, so what? Why wouldn't you buy something that is recommended by others? Isn't that a solid sign of being a noob? A more experienced PC builder would pick parts based on their incoming brand bias like, Never Buying Asus because that Athlon motherboard sucked, or Gigabyte = Ass because I had to RMA a 600 series GPU from them. Or Fuck Intel because I worked there and they were fucking assholes.
OP has already said: Seasonic PRIME TX-1300interested to know what PSU you're using to power all this. Could just be a case of poor power delivery. Have you tried to lower the power limit on the 5090 at all?
3D Mark is more for simulating a game, it's possible for a card to pass this while still being unstable.Try bench it with 3DMark

I had something like this happen last year. Installed latest nvidia driver and it crashed me. Couldn't login, couldn't do a system repair nor restore. Luckily i was able to do a command prompt to reinstall the previous driver that worked. OP got lucky he was able to restore.I wonder if you uninstalled the graphics driver using DDU, and then, with no driver available, Windows fails to get to the login screen -the system using the generic display driver until it gets to Windows and then imploding.
