I put the seat down.

Im married and want to stay that way.

The way I see it theres 4 things that can happen on that toilet.

1. Man pees standing up.
2. Woman pees sitting down.
3. Man shits sitting down.
4. Woman shits sitting down.

3 of those 4 things require the seat to be down. So the seat goes down after im done taking a leak.

You're not thinking outside the box!

5. Man pees sitting down
6. Woman pees standing up
7. Man pees with one leg on top of toilet tank and an arm resting on his knee
8. Woman lays on her back on the floor facing toilet and fires mortars
9. Man shits in toilet tank
10. Woman shits then writes her name on the wall with the shit.
11. Harlem shake poops (seriously, don't look it up)

Most of these don't really require the seat at all.

Yes, with my foot (unless i'm home, then i know it's clean).
It makes sense to put it down *BEFORE* you flush, too, since it will limited the spread of water/urine drops.

I sit to pee because i don't like the steady buildup of stealthy splatter for weeks which ultimately leaves my toilet smelling like a homeless man's johnson into i clean away the grime! Puuuke
