Sometimes, he just wholesale makes shit up...like he did recently concerning Billy Gillespie, the men's basketball coach at Texas Tech supposedly verbally assaulting a staffer in front of Texas Tech officials. When posters presented Brooks with evidence from a nationally-known CBS beat writer with first-hand knowledge that Brooks' story was totally incorrect, Brooks simply deleted any and all reader comments to the story that linked to the CBS story.
