Just went through the "Post Your Setup" posts and noticed that quite a few people have both new consoles. Curious, which one do you prefer? I'd like to hear from people that clearly aren't fanboys.

Would be nice for all the people with both that vote to post a pic as evidence to avoid the fanboys but it's never been a perfect world..

Here I am searching for just one and people have both... Sad face

Edit: reread this and sounds like I'm saying they shouldn't have both and I didn't mean that. I'm just saying in jealous and want one. My wife found an s yesterday but knew I wanted a ps5 (#1) or x (#2) so knew to wait.

Love me some demon souls but whats special about the ui
I just like it better. Tbh, I'm more used to PlayStation. The series X is my first ever Xbox. I used to be a PlayStation + Nintendo owner, since the SNES days. Gamepass and the Bethesda-thing made me buy an Xbox now as well. Without those, I wouldn't have. I kinda like having the option now of choosing the best platform for multiplatform games and playing all exclusives on gamepass.

I got my PS5 on saturday, but XSX was the system I wanted more and mine wont get delivered until god knows when from MS store. The main reason I am more excited about the XSX is that I have a better understanding of the console and what it can do. 3rd party games should also run better on it.

The liquid metal also concerns me in PS5, as it seems like it could be bad news for any console that is gets misapplied and is not an easy fix.

I've pretty much had all Playstation & Xbox Consoles at launch. I'm not a fanboy for either.

When the 360 came around with Achievements/Gamerscore it was an exciting time. I was already on the bandwagon to chasing a gamerscore. Since then I've used Xbox as my multiplatform device and used the PlayStation consoles for exclusives.

Coming into this gen, I was tempted to go with PS5 only at the start but I crumbled and purchased both consoles. I'm still using the Xbox for multiplatform games as I want to continue with my gamerscore/achievements as I've put the most time into that, and not much time/effort into my PSN/Trophies.

I currently prefer the PS5. The dual sense controller is simply amazing and the UI is so clean & fresh. Astrobot is a love story to Playstation and it's an amazing pack in game.

I always felt the Xbox controller was nicer to play with, but after using the Dual Sense it just feels miles above the current Xbox controller.

3rd party games are currently running better on PS5. Would that change your excitement level or does familiarity still rule the day?

3rd party games so far have run as good or better on PS5, except for DMC5. Also, the liquid metal should not be a concern. Sony have already explained all the extra steps they took to ensure that the liquid metal would not be a problem. Liquid metal also doesn't get worse over time like thermal paste.

So far I think I like the PS5 more, although I just noticed a little bit of coil whine. Nothing too loud and I only noticed it because I looked for it, as long as it doesn't cause any actual problems I don't think I care too much.
