Persona 4: Dancing All Night announced for Vita

Now I get why Rise was so sad during her Social Link

Kanamin is HOT

But yeah, ugh wtf Atlus. They didn't do Yu justice imo, he looks really awkward

Hopefully they drag the rest of the P4 gang, so they can suffer too

Kanami looks like a hamburger in those shorts.

If those character models are any indication of the style they'll be going for in P5, it'll look quite nice (as if we didn't already know it would because of Catherine, but still). <3 rhythm games, will get.

So... is this the first PSP2 title to be announced for 2014? I honestly can't think of anything beyond Tearaway that was notable for the system and that just launched this week...

Edit: Okay, that's a half-lie. Disgaea 4 is coming to the system in 2014 as well. So... one JRPG. One dancing-sim-thingy.

I'm married and playing life consuming rpg's on my television is impossible. :( Was hoping p5 on vita also. Somehow I suspect I'll still get this. I have no idea why, but I have a strong feeling I will be browsing the psn store, see it...and add it to cart.

This game could be a good source of gif, i can already imagine an almost naked Kanji dancing with "My body is ready" when Persona 5 is close to be released.
But it's clearly not my type of game so i'll have to pass.

I fear it will have tons of dlc and a new version including P5 characters and music though.

The thing is all of spin-offs (Fighter, Dungeon Crawler and Rhythm game) seems to be canon so that they'll actually have story built into it.
Atlus sure knows how to milk the franchise...

I don't think PersonaQ is canon, for various reasons that should be apparent.

Just read through Famitsu articles for more details.
P4A2 and P4D sure looks like they have canon story. I'm now bit skeptical about PersonaQ because I see protagonist of P3 and P4 at the same time (that they didn't do for P4A, which Atlus declared as canon).

In all honesty if we wouldn't have gotten Persona 5 I would have been happy with this.
Looks like so much fun. Atlus better bring it stateside. But if I have to import it I shall. Did the same for Miku

I know A2 and P4D are canon, but PQ can't be for reasons that are obvious to anyone that has played Persona 3 & 4, unless they do some serious retconning.

I'm pretty sure that PQ is supposed to be just a fun "what if" spin-off.

This will be wonderful, haters be damned.

Too bad Vita has such a horrible DLC situation when importing, or I'd consider grabbing the JP or US release. Alas, I'll be waiting for the EU release on this one, I think. :P

and then I remembered that SEGA probably is the reason why it's being developed.

Like I said it is by same developer (Dingo) who did original Hatsune Miku (PSP and arcade).
For PS3 and PSV version Sega AM2 took over for development and people were wondering what Dingo was up to (they were once posting job offerings for a rhythm game). Now we know the answer.

Yeah that makes more sense I guess.

Cool, Only reason I have not gotten miku is im not really into the music, but I love personas music so im in on this one for sure (sadly im terrible at rhythm games)

I love rhythm games and Shoji Meguro is my fucking hero, but the dancing characters are pretty cringe-worthy.

I wish they went the way of Theatrhythm instead...

So Dingo is working on both this and Love Live? This one actually looks ok, but that first Love Live trailer looked way worse than what you would expect from Dingo, coming from the amazing Photokano port.

There would probably be no vita games if it wasn't for Sega so i really don't understand the hate.
At least it looks good as long as you like Persona music and rythm games Miku style.

The hate was there because Atlus was about to close with no new Persona announcement but just spin-offs. Now we know they're actually making new official Persona so that spin-offs look better to our eyes as well :D

I'll be honest here, even though I'm looking forward to P5 this might be my favourite announcement of the day. I love some rhythm games, and Persona music feels like it'd fit just right. Then they got Dingo, who have good expertise on the genre and have developed some really solid titles already.

Put all that together with the fact that there's actually going to be some story with the P4 characters that I grew to be really fond of and I'm sold. Oh, and the PV is the funniest thing ever. I can't stop laughing at the announcer dude. "THIS SMILE IS... MEGIDOLAON CUTE!". He is genius, indeed.

Bring on my Rise!
