Persona 4: Dancing All Night announced for Vita

Do people actually buy these games? and is this good for the VIta?

Japan.

Japan, unlike the western markets, are more used to the notion of spin-offs and divergent media built off core franchises. And stuff like music, rhythm, dancing games have their fans. C'mon, Guitar Hero used to be a thing.

And more games = good. Would you rather there had been no extra one game for Vita at all?

It is the genre (Hatsune Miku-esque rhythm game) did decently on PSP/PS3/PSV/3DS and arcade.
As for arcade rhythm games I dare to say this game is the king now, in Japan of course.

My girlfriend is going to go nuts for this when she wakes up and I tell her. Persona + dance + dressup = nuclear bomb.

Alright, let's start now because we need to be honest with ourselves about how this has a chance of being the best OT ever made.

With that being said, titles: Go.

Also, the way the Persona/SMT franchises are "abused" is so much better than the way most franchises are. A bunch of good games and media so that there's something for everyone, and the core fanbase isn't even neglected? Good job.

Well I think any of the engrish in the trailer alone works as OT title material

Would've been happier if they could adopt Tales's release cycles, but I guess it's not too bad as long as their flagship title delivers and is as memorable as their previous games.

And in a way, they've really sustained the longevity of the P4 characters and media.

FUCK YEAH RHYTHM GAMES

OMG I laughed so hard at this !

Well done you.

I love 5+ year release cycles. Elder Scrolls and Persona doing it right. I don't want series I love to oversaturate me into hating them.

If there is a new Elder Scrolls game before 2016 I'll be super disappointed.

Haha wow, that was out of left field. It really is Project Diva: Persona Edition. But hell, considering how great Persona 4's music was (heck, throw in some P3 tunes as well, even if it's DLC), I'd buy it for the right price. Also, that freakin' announcer. Just hilarious.

I really was not judging, it was a question form an ignorant place in my mind. As long as this supports the system and lead to us getting games we actually want on the Vita then this is a win for Vita owners.

Man, how did I not see this coming with the whole SEGA/Atlus deal. Let's be honest, it was bound to happen sooner or later.

Anyway, totally buying this. I haven't played any of the Project Diva games yet, just tried the demo for F on PS3, but had fun with it. So definitely jumping in on this.

Hahaha this was my initial reaction, too. I couldn't help but wonder what the hell I just watched. It was just all sorts of creepy. But....it IS coming from the team that brought Miku to the Vita. Then I thought, honestly, who am I kidding? I would probably enjoy it. It just sounds like an awkward combo. At least it brings more music from Shoji Meguro!

Wait, this is by the creators of Hatsune Miku?

I don't understand why people are so angry about this. It looks fun and not offensive in any way.

Because they where expecting a p5 announcement of the bat and not a game where we see a girl and a boy dance. Funny but until i see some gameplay trailers of p5 i am not excited about that as this or the 3ds game.

This game feels like the ultimate fan service.

Hatsune Miku creators + Persona 4 = kawaii service

Yeah I totally get this not doing anything for people who expected more Persona 5 info but if I was in their boat I wouldn't be mad. Some of the YouTube comments are insane.

If Kanji is here with his specific stage and music, it's going to be kinda awkward.

Yes. Personally, I don't care about rithm games. The 3DS is getting the best of the two, I think.

What are the chances we'll be getting this?

Yeah totally agree with you. But have you seen the twitch stream or the first pages of neogaf. It really is embarrasing and kind of hilarious at the same time. Only sad part for me is that i live in Europe so the waiting game will be even longer.

I see this, PQ, & P4A2 as nice fun games to hold fans over until P5 is released next year. Not huge releases compared to P5, but I look forward to playing all of them (well, still on the fence about PQ).

This is horrible. I'm definitely buying it!

Man, I can't believe they're releasing four Persona related games: dance, dungeon, fighting and P5?!?! So hyped!
