They're what enable the max s.link fusions. S. Links themselves reset on NG+, but because those carry over, you can still fuse say, Surt and co. even without maxing out his social link.

That fight was so easy I am surprised you have difficulties doing it. Just use Yoshitsune and use power-charge + Hasshou Tobi while Yosuke Youthful Winding-it everybody and Yukiko throwing nukes and Teddie Matarukaja+Marakunda and it's toast.

Hell, just use the difficulty adjuster and get yourself more exp + more money or something instead of quitting.

But there is a way.

See the bolded. You're fighting a level 90 boss, so unless you abused Shuffle time on your Persona, you're probably not hitting hard enough.

You can't use the difficulty sliders until you beat the game once.

It sounds like they're playing on Easy/Very Easy anyhow, given their level and playtime.

You can get the true ending on the first playthrough. The only thing impossible on the first playthrough is fighting the uber optional boss. That, and by extension some of the achievements.

Well, I always assume wrong then, since getting a perfect S.Link while doing attributes and stuff is very difficult I always assume it's impossible to get it on the 1st playthrough.

I'm starting to have flashbacks of my experience with FFX which was a manageable 35 hours to the second to last boss who shrugged my part off. Now I just need the Omega Ruins equivalent in this game to power level.

Well, I forget the existence of guides I guess.

The only time I've peaked at a guide was for the ending dialog choices. I maxed quite a few of the S. Links (assuming that is what perfect is) but far from all of them.

Holy shit. Yeah you might want to spend some time leveling up everyone. At least 80 for the party you're gonna use. Also fuse some Personae. Focus on getting at least one Personae who's Tri/Quad elemental with Mind Charge, one physical persona with Power Charge, one with healing skills, and/or one with buffs and support skills.

Did you like... run from the vast majority of battles? Normal should have gotten you to 80 if you actually fought everything and picked the XP increases in Shuffle time.

Rolling with Rise? So you only play with 2 party members then? Hahaha.

Yoshitsune is a level 78 Tower, IIRC, so it's not that far off from your current level. Although yea you need to level up a few times to get Hasshou Tobi but the emperor card is quite often showing up (for a supposedly rare card) at the shuffle it's not a big issue.

Don't do your level up in that final finaldungeon but rather the dungeon before it since it gives much more experience and the enemies respawn rather quickly too.

I think I worded that poorly. My four main members are level 75 or thereabouts but they are the only group I've used for the last portion of the game so the cast-offs are all 51 or lower.

My non-maxed links are Empress, Hiero, Hermit, Death, Temper and Jester. I should have spent less time with Yukikio I guess. I regret nothing.

Sorry, missed this. I cleared the first few dungeons fighting everything along the way and getting a full map. I also redid the dungeons to fight the elite shadows for the courage bonus the same way. I then stopped re-doing the dungeons for the bonus courage. The last few dungeons I stopped exploring the whole floor once I found an exit but I have yet to avoid battles except in the one instance it was required. I figured I was leveling fairly normally because the bosses have not really presented much of a challenge even with my gimped main character and my aversion to fiddling with my Persona. I think I had to grind to defeat the first dungeons shadow boss on my run through for the courage bonus and on
