Thanos acquires the fully powered Infinity Gauntlet in The Avengers: Infinity War, but loses when all the superheroes team up together to stop him.
Palace 5 has been my least favorite so far.

Just got past the first round of
space jumping
so hopefully I'm getting close to the end.
This is most people's least favorite.

7 is just as bad gameplay wise, if not worse, but makes up for it in other ways, IMO.

What is this Engrish trying to say?
Uh, exactly what it means. Put a Persona in 'Lockdown' to let it overcome an attribute weakness.

I mentioned this earlier in the thread,
IMO, there's a slight screw up in the translation. The game makes it look like you're treated as a criminal for being a good person but it's supposed to come across as you're being treated as a criminal for punching a guy when he's trying to hit on a woman. For as screwed up as Japan can be, there's no way they'd treat someone horrible like this if everyone knew you were doing a good thing.

How is the translation screwed up? Genuine question because I don't know how the Japanese version of the game handled it. With the US version it doesn't feel like a screw up. It's just the game intentionally holding back key information. June spoilers
While the first scene makes it clear that the guy the MC beats up holds political sway it isn't until later that you find out that that woman the MC helps testifies against him. You are being treated as a criminal because the official record says that you assaulted a guy and says nothing about defending a woman from assault in the process.

You just said they will not be weak to something they were weak to before. Is that what it means? Because what other people have said is something different.

I thought we had this and now you're adding more confusion tbh

So what is the recommended level for (optional boss spoiler)
the reaper
in this game? Also is the loot as good as in persona 4?

Sigh... it unlocks a new option in the velvet room where you can hand over a persona to the twins to spend some time and when retrieved, it has attribute resistances that it didn't before.

It explains, like, all of this seconds later.

I was being sarcastic, I thought the bold and italics covered that.

You get a resist buff. It may be elemental resistance or a status resistance. It's a skill so you will see it in the skill list instead of the attribute list at the top of the page. That way you can also use the skill to pass it on to another Persona during fusion.

In my experience they don't actually lose the weakness. They get a skill that helps with the weakness (they've all been skills you have to actively cast from what I've seen in the three or so I've done).

You can get passive skills from it too.

Nice! I was hoping that was the case.

I noticed seconds later that you weren't the original poster being replied to hahahaha. I was just about to edit my post when I saw this! Sorry. I thought it was more playful sassiness than sarcasm.

I like Ryuji. (10/20 spoilers)
I think he's pretty clearly supposed to be the Phantom Thieves desire to be famous made manifest, even the other characters admit to liking the fame as well. Not only that, but he ends up apologizing and actually stops being a loud dumbass after that moment too.

Also his confidant is pretty great, even if his characterization by the end of it feels a bit at odds with his main-story self. He's a super-bro that would stick with you to the end and (MAJOR 11/20 spoilers)
he's the only one with 100% confidence that you're alive.

I was so amazed by that moment. And things just kept ramping up from there! I'm really impressed by all the players here who
noticed about the pancakes. Maybe it's more prominent in the English version, but when I checked that scene in question in NG+, I counted 23 lines of dialogue between Morgana uttering it and him entering the scene.

Realistically speaking though, it is absurd to butt into a conversation by talking about something that happened 23 sentences earlier...

Did you talk to Futaba in your room after that? She goes into great detail about all the contingencies the gang had.

Yeah, I talked to her and feel bad for anyone who didn't. The whole plan is crazy genius and the entire scene is executed so well. I figured it out immediately that the "missing" parts were because of the drugs and it was heavily hinted that they knew he was going to captured but the execution was so good.

Ok, yeah that's what others said although it being a skill is new and explains how it is limited.

I'm liking how everyone who's got jokes about how foolish I am for missing the clear explanation has a different idea of what it actually means though. Clear as hell! Not talking to you obviously :p I appreciate it.

I am only on 7/24, so I kind of don't want major story spoilers for this, but I want to see if I'm off base or not with something that's been bothering me about one of these characters.

So... is no one going to call out or catch on to the fact that Akechi back in his first appearance said that "oh, someone was talking about pancakes" when it was only fucking Morgana who was talking about them?

There are two bosses in this game which gave me strong Catherine vibes, which make me wish most of them had gone for a horror vibe in terms of presentation and build-up.

BOSS SPOILERS:
The Palace 4 boss' sudden appearance and screech here. That and her design itself is mad Catherine.

The second was the second phase of the Palace 6 boss. Nightmarish in an unexpected way that was also very reminiscent of Catherine, akin to the robot baby.

I guess Palace 1 boss was a bit reminiscent of the tongue-butt-thing in Catherine, but the two above are really the ones that gave me that vibe.

Like really, all I need is this, and I think I would be mostly fine about him. haven't reached that part yet though.

Also
the others already acknowledged that they liked the fame too, but they also know and are afraid of what it might entail.

It's actually just one line early on that causes this.
When Sojiro tells you what he knows about your situation is, IMO, supposed to be the way that the incident is seen by the public. In the Japanese version, the statement is worded in such a way that it looks like the guy is hitting on the woman and then you jumped in a punch the guy. In the US version Sojiro tells you that he knows that you stopped an attempted rape and admonishes you for it. That's where the misunderstanding comes from.

You, as the player, are supposed to come into the scene and go "Hey, Sojiro, you don't know what actually happened!" there but it comes off totally differently.

The interesting part is that the translation in the NA version that is used in that part isn't technically wrong. Rather, the translation they used has a bit more meaning in English.

It's pretty clear - people were just confused about what kind of skills it's possible to get from it based on their experience with it.

noticed about the pancakes. Maybe it's more prominent in the English version, but when I checked that scene in question in NG+, I counted 23 lines of dialogue between Morgana uttering it and him entering the scene.

I wonder how many people will have caught onto that. Maybe my love of Ace Attorney and Danganronpa trained me to catch onto details like that real quick.

She can be pretty powerful actually. She doesn't get an attack in the highest damage tier like the other characters but if you focus her on gun attacks, she's really powerful. Towards the end of the game, Ryuji > Haru > Yusuke in terms of physical damage if you build her properly.

Which gun skills? She's in the early 50s and so far the only gun related attacks for her I have is the one she came with.

But it being a skill is pretty important, no? If it said elemental resistance skill, would there be any confusion at all?

I noticed it right away and was very pleasantly surprised to see it come back later in a way I didn't expect it to at all.
I was scratching my head during the Casino palace because Akechi's story and the pancakes comment didn't add up, but apparently the cast had had the same reaction. Excellent use of the unreliable narrator.

I'm the opposite, I think it was the worst. I'm surprised that not only do you like it, but that you think it's better than all the ones that preceded it.

She gains it later in levels. It's called, spoilered just in case someone wants to be suprised,
One-Shot Kill. She also gains two Booster skills that increase the damage of Gun attacks and they both stack. One-Shot Kill also has a high critical rate as well making it an extremely potent attack. The MC has a Persona that can learn this in the 50s, Set. He gains both OSK and one of the Boosters. It's one step below the highest tier of attacks (Brave Blade, etc) in this game

It's so good. She obliterates things.

Does anyone here let their party members act freely in battle? I'm guessing the game is smart enough to where it shouldn't be an issue.

Yeah fuuuuuuck that. Persona 3 would've been 10x easier for me, had I had direct control over the party. The margin of error is too small in this game.

Least favourite.

Lol oh shit. Did he edit? I could've sworn the "least" wasn't there before, i'm blind.

AI is good enough to play the game entirely P3-style. That's what I did for my NG+ run and it was pretty sick. No more Marin Karin shenanigans.

Yeah I actually have
Set with one shot one kill.
Haven't tried him out yet though.

And then the LORD David Bowie saith to his Son, Jonny Depp: 'Go, and spread my image amongst the cosmos. For every living thing is in anguish and only the LIGHT shall give them reprieve.'
This calling card bs........

So I get to the treasure area with zero SP left, figure it's the boss area so I come back to reality for a day.

Come back to the castle and the moment I return they tell me I have to leave and come back tomorrow? That is super fucking awkward.

Let's be real: The MC is a stingy Scrooge. You gain all this hundreds of thousands of yen in dungeons, and you get to hold all the dough to spend however.

Meanwhile, poor bro Yosuke is crying to me about how he can't afford food or train fair. Come on... I'd never leave a brother hanging like that.

Was flip-flopping between choosing Tae and Makoto, but after choosing Tae I think I made the right choice.

Feels good man :)

I swear I think I fucked that up. She was the first female S-link I maxed out so I wasn't sure what the process was. I think I made the right choice but i don't remember :/
