Thought so Thanks.
Yeah!
Depending on how far you are, selling the Soma in the healing item pack nets you a cool 50k at a time when 50k is a lot of money. You can totally upgrade your entire team to the best weapons and armor early on. But I imagine you're past that point now.
Still, download it and save it for a rainy day. Either way, you've got an extra Soma for the endgame or a 50k bonus for whenever you need it and don't feel like wasting a day grinding cash in Mementos.
I wouldn't hold onto that DLC Soma too much, I can confirm that you can atleast get 2 more in the game and on top of that you can get a LOT of big SP recovery items that recover 100SP for all or full SP for one and there are two consistent sources for that and one of them doesn't even require you to rank up a confidant to level 10. Plus there are loads of full or half HP recovery items and abilities in the game.I did just that lol.
Saw that it was worth 50k, even if it restores HP/SP for everyone, 50k is a lot more valuable at the point I am in the game (second dungeon).
Even wasted some money on those expensive ass useless gifts in the underground mall area.
I think I will actually get some of the Persona themes. Anyone know what music plays on the Futaba or Makoto one?

If you think you're gonna keep the soma "for the next big fight" you'll never use it since you'll eventually kill the boss without using it...Same goes for all the later bosses. You would need some SP recovery items of course but there are loads of them mid to late game. Plus using the SP accessory would mean you rely on SP recovery items even less.
Memento Question
Can anyone tell me how to meet the Reaper? I've been idle for 10 minutes and no luck

I've been thinking about writing this post for a while, but I wanted to get through (most of) the game first. I'm now on the last dungeon, and I still feel like this is something worth bringing up.
Before I get to the subject at hand I want to preface this by saying that by and large I've been really enjoying my time with Persona 5.
Persona 5 uses sexual violence/exploitation (or the threat of it) so often with regards to its female characters that it seems like it's one of the only ways the writers know how to create dramatic tension (and sometimes comedy?) for women. Almost every female character suffers from this, and it has dampened my enjoyment of the game to a measurable degree. Now, I'll admit I'm probably more sensitive to this stuff than most, but I think it's undeniable that Persona 5 has featured more plot points and incidents involving sexual exploitation/violence than at the very least 3 and 4 (I haven't played 1 and 2 so I won't comment on that). While I won't say that addressing these things shouldn't be done at all, I do think that the way it's treated and portrayed creates a incongruous tone with the rest of the game. Without getting into specifics for fear of spoilers, the game very often downplays the severity of these acts, and couches the acts themselves in vagueness and ambiguity.
While this all hasn't destroyed my ability to enjoy the game or anything like that, it does make me disappointed that ATLUS has decided to rely on such lazy and thoughtless means of storytelling when it comes to women.
Also I should say that it's not my intention to make anyone feel bad about enjoying the game or its stories, hell, like I said before, I'm enjoying it a hell of a lot myself, I just thought that this issue was prevalent enough that it deserved to be mentioned.

Makoto's just plays the Beneath the Mask instrumental version.

Mementos Lingering SpoilersIt didn't work for me on the very first floor, but every other (not rest or end) floor I would just not move the controller for 2-5 minutes and then I'd get dialogue from Morgana and the music would change. I didn't have to clear the floor, but I would drive out of the entrance way
I don't remember anything like this to be honest....
I must have played a different game.
Ok. I just hit mid September.
The following is just general issues with Ryuji:
I was pretty annoyed with Ryuji up to this point, but I'm all aboard the hate train now. Dude doesn't learn or make any effort to change, despite his actions directly and repeatedly hurting people and fucking things up. That's before you get into his priorities and motivations He's got the best VA in the English dub though, so I'm trying to just appreciate that.
I've seen his S Link, and I'm empathetic to his situation and his past. I just have no desire to have him around, and if I could kick him off the team in exchange for a few, I'd do it in a second. Hoping for an update that patches in antransmutable itemscommand."Itemize Ryuji"
It just seems like they could've included more introspection/growth into his story and he still would've maintained 95% of what his character is. Maybe they do this later in the game, but considering the consequences his actions have had thus far, and his refusal to even acknowledge them, I'm close to saying he's beyond redemption.
The game is likely my GOAT regardless, but this has undoubtedly been the biggest annoyance I've had during my playthrough.
Finally met one. Seems like it only doesn't work on the first floor. And you don't have to clear the floor beforehand.
Nearing the end of the first dungeon and am pretty much ready to drop difficulty back to normal(playing hard). Just tired of every enemy attack either one-shotting or putting them dangerously close to death regardless of weakness or not. Meanwhile I am forced to all out attack to even dent anything. Physical is about equally as worthless as a null element. Guarding literally did fuck all to the mid boss during the tutorial where it teaches you guarding! Guard this turn! Ha nm, it still killed you, lol.
I'd normally stick with it, but due to this, SP conservation is nigh impossible and it just slows the pacing to a crawl as I dip out to return yet another night for refills(wasting chances to to other stuff). Anyone stick with hard? Something I'm missing?
I'm on the 17th of May and Morgana is still forcing me to go to bed in the evening. Does this shit stop at some point? It's seriously annoying.
Just beat the game :'((((
Amazing.
The ending was masterfully done. Even better than P4/P4G. While I'm not a wreck like I was after finishing P4G and realizing I couldn't see these characters anymore, I still am sad to see the end of the adventures.
I am absolutely DREADING this moment. I was a total wreck after beating P4G. Felt genuinely sad (but in a good way)

Have a question for past Persona players (MAJOR END SPOILERS for P5):
Was it always made so obvious who the true culprit is in these titles? In 4 it seemed a little better but in this they make it too easy. My friend also told me Persona 3's culprit was also fairly obvious.
What would others have done to make it different? I think actually allowing you to spend free time with Akechi would have been better and more natural, the fact that you can't, sealed if for me, among other things like how he's handled in official art.
Not really, (Confidant gameplay bonus spoilers)but you might want to max the Temperance Confidant as soon as possible as that at least makes sure that you can do whatever during the evenings despite a trip to Mementos or another Palace.
May is the worst month for that that ive seen.
And you Jig- I mean papa coffee. I'll miss you most of all. Now I want coffee.

I see, thanks.
Other question: do Requests for Mementos have a deadline?
One of my favorite little surprises in the game was how good the music was for safe rooms. I love going into one of these rooms just to hear the music. Have a Short Rest
Oh, you mean Doctor Venture?
Sojiro was such a great character. At first I didn't like him as much as Dojima, but he eventually eclipsed him, and by a pretty wide margin, too.

He has really good growth throughout the game, and that's even without the social link.
I'm looking forward to actually finishing his social link on this second playthrough. I got roadblocked by it wanting 5 kindness on the first playthrough. Didn't hit level 5 in kindness till it was basically at the end of the game.
Sojiro takes you in and teaches you about the wonderful world of coffee and curry. He takes a chance with you and soothes your rebellious heart with a warm and creamy cup of colombian bean.
What does Dojima do?
There's a big difference between P4 and P5 (And P3).
Endgame:Persona 4 is explicitly a murder mystery story about a bunch of goodie goodie teenage detectives. The identity of the culprit is, more often than not, the twist in a murder mystery. Persona 5 on the other hand is not a murder mystery story. There's an antagonistic force that murders mysteriously, but the structure of the story is entirely different. The twist isn't that Goro is the traitor; the twist is that the group knew and prepared against it. Your group's the mystery that the antagonists want to solve.
