Persona 5 |OT2| Someone must have been helping you go to bed early. Talk!

11/20 question

Does the choices made this day affect whether you get the true ending or not? Is there a true ending at all?

Yes, the choices you make during this affect your ending.

If the game warned you about something, then yes. Don't worry too much, though. Just do what makes sense, and you'll know it if you messed up.

To be fair, I
got the "right" path and still was afraid I got a bad ending for a good bit there. They do a hell of a fake out.

So are these treasure Personas or whatever they're called just gonna clog my slots until I use them? Can't see an option to register them. :/

They should be in your Registry now. You cannot equip them, therefore, they can't gain experience, so it's unlikely they changed (which would have them show up for potential re-registry). Check your Registry and see if there are any green names. Those are the gems, which are good for cheap experience for other Persona (once you have a certain Velvet Room feature).

Wow, watching Daybreakers was a total waste of 25 mins. Why are all Persona anime so worthless? :(

I learned my lesson after Persona 4: The Animation. Never again. On another note, how did that Persona 3 movie turn out?

I can't agree, she's the first "bad" one so far imo

Oh wow, I didn't need to use a playthrough or anything for the
airlocks.
I thought it was the enemies that were the main reason people were annoyed...

Wait, why exactly do most of y'all seem to dislike Palace 5?

Yea...

On the other hand,
I thought it was smart to just have her already begun being indoctrinated into knowing about the Metaverse and such through Morgana joining up with her.

Makoto was the best, and yea, her Persona awakening was the best as well.

I didn't have a hard time with the first
airlock section
, but it reset the whole section after I saved and that reallly took the wind out of my sails. On top of that, I really didn't enjoy fighting the enemies there. At all. The reliance
on magic
wasn't a challenge IMO, it was just annoying and made the battles just a drag. I also had more issues with the ambush system and enemy placement here that resulted in me getting jumped way more then I should've been.

In any case, when I walked into the final,
larger airlock room, I'd just kind of had it. I was burnt out and didn't feel like running around, fighting obnoxious enemies, and flipping switches and watching those "something has changed" cuts while I figured out what combination would get me out.

I also thought the entire theme/design of the palace felt generic compared to the first 4. Maybe it wasn't that bad and I was just impatient and the theme just wasn't my thing. Which is fine, and I'm glad there are people it clicked with. This was the just first time I've felt anything but magic and awe since I started the game, so it was a bit jarring. Though that's a testament to the quality of it, because for all my complaints, the palace had some positive qualities and some interesting connections to the story, it was just a bummer relative to everything else I'd seen up to that point.

I don't know if I made the good choice, then. i decided to not sell out my teammates and discovered Akechi's identity as the true culprit, but taking into account that discovering the actual murderer and trusting your teammates wasn't the only requirement for P4's true ending, I'm worried that I messed up.

Damn, how do people have level 3 Guts to start the SL with Iwai so early on? Does the online thing track NG+ as well?

Based on what you described, I think
you're good

Fused a Matador with One-Shot Kill, Snipe, Cripple, Apt Pupil, Trigger Happy, Charge, and Rakunda.

Then it turns out he's kinda crap for it. Level up 5 levels and only his Magic and Agility went up :|

Adieu.

I also like Makoto's.
Indeed. It conveys a sense of strength.
It's a crime that screenshots are blocked from taking those to use as wallpaper.
This game screams the use of screenshots.

I have to disagree with the Haru's hate. Granted, I just unlocked her as a teammate for battle, but everything about her is likeable: persona, personality, and outfit are great. This is subject to change when I try out here slink.

Does anyone have a link to any good fusion guides?

This one is great (aside from not telling locations for certain Persona like the Treasure Demons). It also has a weird omission of options for a certain powerful Persona that I found. Aside from that though, it has been very useful.

Edit: Beaten. Also, Persona names are all open in the Full List, obviously. So if you don't want spoilers of Persona names/moves, look out.

Not really a spoiler, but addressing your hope:
it unfortunately doesn't change.

There really should have been more sequences like the one you're referring to. Genuine, elaborately planned heists by the Phantom Thieves, making use of each of their distinct talents. Hell, maybe take it one step further and have more player involvement, where we can decide certain aspects of how a treasure will be stolen, and who should be used for it, ala the Suicide Mission in Mass Effect 2.

That's a shame, like you mentioned here, having some agency as the leader would've really set each of those palace climaxes off so well, having plot resolution,
boss battles and a well designed heist would have made each palace an utter gem of a level design had they put more effort in. Ah well, a missed opportunity.

Well for one thing you're not suppose to watch it after already playing the game :p

Daybreakers came out as an appetizer before the game.

If you make something that has no value other than being hype bait, then you made a worthless piece of shit. So the question remains, why is all Persona anime shit?

Talking about Treasure Demons...does
Futaba's
palace not have any? I'm already done with it but I didn't come across any. Pretty sure I've explored every single room there was to explore.

Because all the Persona anime just exist to promote the games and sell to fans, rather than to be enjoyable standalone things.

Yeah, that's part of what makes it so good. I just mean that, at least the game lets you know early, instead of having you play and only letting you know you got a bad ending hours later.

Regarding Haru:

anyone else think that her character, as well as the drama with Morgana, was just kinda shoehorned into the story? Like she's easily the only character at this point in the game that hasn't gotten proper development. I'm sure she'll probably get some more time in the spotlight by the end of the 5th palace, but so far this is the only part in the game where I feel that Persona 4 performs stronger.

Am I missing something or did they
never try to figure out what Sae's distortion was in order to enter the palace? They only just figured out the location for the nav...
(10/29)

They did right before they went in.
The distortion is what the person with the palace views the place as, Sae sees the government building she works at as a casino.

That whole arc is rushed. Doesn't help that it comes after the best arc in the game that got almost two entire months devoted to it.

Because JoJo exists.

In all seriousness I don't think the series lends itself too well to anime adaptation considering the supernatural and grandiose aspects of any of the Persona games cannot be under-represented, while the charm of the later games' day-to-day highschool lifestyle only really feels authentic when you add in those extra hours worth of, studying, batting, reading, ordering your favourite tea, bathing, fishing etc. I remember half of the quirks I fell in love with Narukami's lifestyle in P4 the game were relegated to small references in the anime, yet they were essential to my enjoyment of that story.

We actually just discussed that on the previous page. :p

the best eps of p4 anime was the two summer vacation episodes from MC's pov and from nanako's POV which was entirely about s-linking

I actually watched the P4 anime before playing P4G, the former convinced me of the latter. Before that I only have played P3P so I know of the mechnics but not the story of P4

The Anime have its uses.

Yeah, I think (Persona)
Stone of Scone
may be found there. In the future, or now if you aren't on tight time, make a Treasure Trap in your house. I think they're available to make at that point and have always netted me a Treasure Demon.

Exactly, and everything to do with that was (for me at least) hours upon hours of gameplay and lovable tedium that helped portray the idea you are living a full year of this character's life, not just the essential plot points. And a whole lot of that was compartmentalised into only several episodes of the anime.

Maybe I accidentally overleveled a bit but I don't see what's the problem with Palace 5 enemies? I don't recall any instant kill enemies like Anubis and Skudi that have no weaknesses

I really wish you could invert (so make it the right way...) and increase the speed of the scrolling in the map... It's sucks so bad right now.

D: Damn. So, I did miss it. The palace is gone now. Hopefully, I'll be able to get one from the Mementos.

Thanks for tip. I'll probably get
Kawakami
to make me one then.
