Persona 5 |OT2| Someone must have been helping you go to bed early. Talk!

No, you don't have to enter a relationship to finish the link. Romancing someone doesn't give you any benefit as far as I know and most of the time, the friendship ending is the better written one anyway.

Ah I see thanks. Also does any one know if this game unlocks the cool customizable difficulty options that P4 had in NG+?

Is there a way to advance strength to 6 without having to strengthen a certain persona to a higher level? I used a guide and it requires strengthen a persona 5 from 25 to 28 which I couldn't do no matter what I tried.

.

Is the the one about Neko Shogun and dekaja?

It's a mix of VLR(beside P4G the only game I cared enough to get a Platinum trophy for) and Morgana, I have another one with Kirby too somewhere on my drive ^^

Yup, I know the combo which is why it made me laugh. Morgana's expression witht he hood is hilarious.

When do you hear it in the game? It's my favorite song on the soundtrack but I have yet to encounter it in P5.

As mentioned, pretty late game. But you'll know when you get there. Awesome boss fight too.

I tried gaf but fuck this peice of shit game. I sit through 11 hours of my first Persona. I level up and do studies earn money for better equipment. I have 2 days left in the first dungeon. I realised I didn't have enough hp so I left to buy things but because if the dumb fuck day night system it skips time and doesn't let me do a thing. So anyway i have 1 day left. Thats fine because I can still beat the dungeon. I slog through and get to the end. ONLY FOR IT TO BOOT ME OUT AND TELL ME COME BACK THE NEXT DAY !!!!! SO INSTANT FAIL SENDS ME BACK 6 HPURS OF GAME TIME! What a fucking peice of shit. Why give a certain amount of days but than not warn you ypu need a certain amount to beat them or you know bring the amount forward? Make me complete by a certain time? Or even better why not tell me I need to send a calling card BEFORE I GO IN THE FUCKING DUNGEON?!?!

I'm so fucking pissed right now. What a miserable time. Like the game all you want but this is not good game design. Gonna sleep on this fucking g shit and if I wake up still pissed its getting traded.

Yeah, the first time I discovered the calling card mechanic I said "BULLSHIT". It will always eat you a day like hell why I can't go at night do the dungeon after sending it ? The game has a lot of little thing like to make the pacing awfull. So the advice I give now to any new comers: FINISH the dungeon ASAP because there will be story forced break too.

imho the main thing that jacks the pacing is that every dungeon is slightly too long for its own good.

The only dungeon I really felt this in was the fifth, maybe because they say "the treasure is behind that door!" on two separate occasions when the dungeon isn't even close to over.

Palace 5 spoilers

I don't understand the excuse for "outer space". They just say Futaba found the Keyword and there's supposed to be a relation to the name Big Bang Burger ... but honestly WTF ?

All other palaces were well explained but this one ??

I have calmed down a bit now and have already restarted the palace but man what a load of crap. And why it decides to tell you AFTER you have beat it is beyond me.

See its not jist the time spent in the palace its everything else I lost. All the time spent studying aNd building relationships. So frustrating.

Wait until you get the treasure.
It's kind of a "Rosebud" thing.

I can't beat the last part of the fighting game. The button combination is too hard

And I can't beat the octopus in the luck game that's asking me to roll an eight

This is so dumb atlus

For me the problem is that the inputs won't register. I get down -> down-left but left won't register most of the time, had the same problem with right command also. My guess is that my DS4 is busted but it still is odd that the d-pad would be busted because this is the first game since Horizon that has made any real use of it for me. I have played enough fighting games to do this stuff properly.

Or is the minigame itself to blame?

i can't blame you cos it's your first persona, but i think everyone generally learns eventually trying to bumrush every dungeon is the best idea so you can spend more time slinking in peace without your party members bugging you ever day

definitely not as well explained as previous dungeons, but it does get fleshed out a bit at the end of the dungeon once you find out what his treasure is and the story behind that.

Ever dungeon could've had 20-30% of the area cut and I think that would've been perfect.

Agree specially when they over use the same kind of mechanic too much. i wish they were shorter with little puzzle like in dungeon 4 which had some story stuff and that was cool.

Yeah i get you would learn but they should make things like that clearer.

Anyway i have a question I found a save and its halfway through the first palace and I have 2 days until expulsion. Is the 2 days enough to conplete it or shpuld i just start over?

Especially the
6th
one. It almost made me quit the game because of it's dumb "puzzle" mechanic with the statues and hundreds of locked doors...

You could conceivably finish every palace in one day if you have the SP. The first place you should be fine to do, though you'll need to be conservative with sp

Yeah the sp was fine as no shop really sold any as i went looking, which was where I lost a day the first time around. I just don't wanna get burnt and need to make sure 2 days is enough to conplete it.

Technically, there is one benefit, but you don't see the effects of it until NG+.
The chocolate you get from that relationship on Christmas Day accelerates your progress with that confidant in the next playthrough.
If you're not planning on doing a second playthrough, then yeah, there's no concrete benefit besides relationship scenes.

I would agree about dungeons feeling too long if you were forced to complete all of them in a single day. As it is, you are given plenty of Save Rooms (and calendar days) to break it up and return later if you'd like. So yeah, if you blow through all the checkpoints in one go, it may feel like a bit of a drag. That's ultimately up to the player though.

Now if we're talking about specific level mechanics that overstay their welcome (like in late-game Palace No.
7
) then that's a different story.

Little known fact, if you look at the Calendar, from the in game menu, the deadline dates for both to send the calling card, and to send the treasure are highlighted. I noticed this around palace
6
which is the
Casino

So, theoretically if you look at the Calendar you'd never fail to meet the deadline cause it tells you the date to send the calling card.

Edit:

Also one more question. Is there any faq that tells you which floors to find certain personas in
Mementos?

I haven't really gotten that many persona tbh.

I think you mean the
seventh
palace. Actual longest dungeon in the game I've encountered so far and tbh the worst as well.
The mouse mechanic was super interesting when it was introduced, but ended up feeling like weird padding to make the dungeon feel about 3x longer than it should be.

There was one whole section they could've cut out. I was like "again?". I would've been fine if there was a completely different puzzle mechanic.

No I mean the one with the statues that
transform you into mice
. The
7th
would be
Mementos
? The color puzzles there were quite nice I think. -Oh wait, my bad, you are right, the 6th was something else and okay.

The one you're describing is the
7th Palace
.

The ship is the 7th palace. Futaba was 4th, Haru was 5th and Sae was 6th.
But yes it the statue thing was a bit annoying by the end.

How many times do you have to do the mice thing? I've done it twice and feel like it's going to happen again after defeating the TV Exec.

This is my first Persona game (and SMT in general). I think this game is pretty easy especially after I read many general tips from few websites.

Priestess Confidant rank 9
Yooooo... Makoto just
bitch-slapped
Eiko!
And then the MC took her to
Lala Escargot's of course.
Makoto: "I can't learn about romance by myself..."
MC: "I'll be your study partner."
Glorious.
That girl is a treasure. But she is going to nuke my head off when she finds out I cheated on her with every other NPC.

I'm probably in the minority here but I never really felt like the dungeons were all that long. I mean, compared to P3/P4, yes, each dungeon is longer than any individual Tartarus section or P4 dungeon, but on the other hand, I'd rather have a long dungeon where I'm still making progress than an SMT dungeon where I am repeating the same room thirty times while I figure out the pattern of whatever trap is fucking with me at the time.

EDIT: Ok, 7 was kinda long, but still not to the point where it bothered me.

How's everyone's network fusion luck? I've got a few decent Personas from it.

I've gotten quite a few slightly higher level fusions from it. Nothing amazing really (losing out on confidant rank sucks) but it's nice for some fodder persona you just need to get rid of and don't feel like refusing lower level persona, using them to strengthen other persona, or throwing them out.

Man, I don't know, this team is pretty stacked. Have any main Bless users on it? (Maybe Michael?)

Same. I only used it about 5 times, but each time was a slightly higher level Persona that I didn't own.

First three were just right.
