It's getting pretty close doe.

Devil May Cry - Nioh
Final Fantasy X - Persona 5
Silent Hill 2 - Resident Evil 7
GTA 3 - Horizon
Ico - Gravity Rush 2 (?)
MGS2 - Nier Automata (lol)
Jak & Daxter - Yakuza 0 (lol?)
Ace Combat - Hatsune Fuckin Miku

ect.

Posting this again for posterity.

It will never ever get this good again. Also keep in mind the Gamecube and Xbox also came out in this same time frame.

If you count in winter and spring like the image counts fall and winter then you also get to include TLG and FFXV. I think it's pretty damn close.

I don't know how similar this is to SMT IV and TMS #FE, but I couldn't finish those because i got bored after a while (the former introduced that dreadful world map and had severe pacing issues, the latter was just too repetitive). This should also be longer than both so i really don't think i'm gonna jump in now. Maybe when it drops around 30 bucks.

Those two games don't have a strong central plot and heavy emphasis on character development and interaction as the core drive to keep you interested throughout. I would definitely recommend P5 to you even if you didn't like those games.

However if you don't like the core SMT gameplay of turn based encounters targeting weaknesses however, it's definitely a harder sell. You can turn the game to an easier difficulty. Also in this game, you can just press R1 in battle and it will automatically select the appropriate weakness-hitting skill for you if you already discovered the enemy weaknesses. It definitely makes the battle mechanics far less cumbersome.

Are we really going to start docking points off because you want a PS4 exclusive game on a portable system? This is like the wii waggle effect all over again where the reviewers criticized games for not taking advantage of the motion controll except this console literally can not do what she's asking. I'm not even mad about the score but if that's your biggest complaint and it's worth taking 10+ points it shows how much hoops japanese developers have to go through to be rated fairly by western media.

Time to ask:

Realistically, what are the chances of this coming to Switch?

I'd say really high actually. Atlus releases a lot of games on Nintendo hardware and Persona Q was a 3ds game. Considering the Switch is more powerful than a PS3 I can easily see a port unless Sony has some kind of deal with Atlus. Before anyone mentions port begging I have the Take Your Heart edition pre-ordered for PS4. This all depends on if the Switch is a runaway success in Japan though.

As long as they dive fully back into Strangereal bullshit drama I'm 100% in regardless.

Strangereal, Osea, Erusea, and superweapons are back baby!
This time with David Goddamn Hayter.

Bah Gawd my excitement through the roof. Fantastic scores! Have avoided almost all promotional material so my body, mind and soul is ready. Going to suck waiting for my "Take Your Heart" edition arriving from Amazon UK. I cannot even double dip cause both PS4 and PS3 versions are sold out here in South Africa.

Pretty sure the Wii was also more powerful than a PS2, it was a success, and neither Persona 3 FES or Persona 4 made it on the platform.
