These reviews really make me want to try this game, but I could never get into P4 on Vita. Maybe these just aren't my thing, but I wish they were because the reviews are so good.

If P4 wasn't your thing I'd have a hard time seeing this game changing it but it always depends on what your actual problem was. If it was the slow beginning P5 more active and involved in media res approach might have a higher chance to get the train rolling for you but who knows.

Yeah, it's kind of crazy how not even five years ago people were claiming the Japanese industry was dead and now four of the six best-reviewed new releases so far this year (Nioh, Persona 5, Nier, Zelda) are Japanese. And the western games in that crop are an indie game (Hollow Knight) and a big-budget AAA SP-only original IP with a female lead (Horizon)!
