Is mainstream anime considered the plague in this thread or something? If I had to rank my anime, it'd be:

1. One Piece
2. Attack on Titan
3. Ranma 1/2
4. FLCL
5. Code Geass
6. FMA
7. Persona 4 Anime
8. Death Note
9. Blood+
10. Naruto
(I don't think I've seen any more anime past a few episodes of other things, aside from Bleach which I honestly don't like that much)

I live a sheltered, mainstream anime life and I'm okay with that. I DON'T NEED THE TRUTH.

I have only ever watched about 5 anime. Dragon Ball Z, Code Geass, Free!, P4A and Shin Sekai Yori.

I have yet to finish any of them besides P4A.(Which I disliked.) I lke the others, I just keep getting sidetracked.

FMA is way too low on that list. One Piece is my number two though.

Talking about anime, eh?

I haven't watched anime since around 2010. I grew a bit weary of it because of a lot of bad stuff that was released in that period. So I decided to go into a volountary 5 year hiatus, no new anime until 2015!
It's working well so far, I'm resisting but getting more and more curious to check out some stuff that's being released recently.

The only thing that made me REALLY suffer is skipping on Fate/Zero and the new Rozen Maiden, you bet that they're going to be the first ones that I'll watch once this is over!

All of a sudden I'm very hyped for new Meguro OSTs. And damn those lyrics are good, as in they're really really good, but I'm not sure if this is just a knee-jerk reaction from having listened to crappy lyrics in basically all of Meguro's songs :/ And what's wrong with that box art? seems mighty fine to me.

Confession time: I've only ever seen random episodes of FMA, having only ever seen it when I was younger as a kid when I happened to be watching Adult Swim. I rank it at that level despite never having finished watching it. That says something about the show. It really does.

Straight up, a lot of the common stuff like GitS, Bebop, FMA etc aren't in my list because I just haven't seen them. I bought GitS 2.0 out of the clearance bin on BD and I was really excited to watch it until everyone told me it was awful and to wait and watch the original.

I have an app that I use. I try to remember to update it during the shows ED to help me keep track. It's an absolutely required when stuff is airing and it's not on Crunchyroll. I usually drop shows mid season that aren;t because I keep falling behind, and pick them back up later.

Watch brotherhood. It's 100 times better than the original because it follows the manga plus all the art is in HD since it was made recently.

Seeing as how I type slowly and don't really F5 much I guess I'll just post again about this new anime topic.

I have watched a few series, and pretty much liked all of them, but haven't actually watched much :/ Here's a list of what I have watched:
Things I liked: Bake/Nise Monogatari, Code Geass, Fate/Zero, Steins;Gate
Things I enjoyed but should have been better: P4 Anime, Angel Beats
Things that wasted my time: Naruto and Bleach

My friend recommends me anime usually but otherwise manga is the medium for me.

My list is kind of incomplete because I haven't rewatched a few things in a while (like Lain) so I kind of put a few comedy series I like a lot up there.

Daily Boys is legit though. Among the funniest shows I've ever seen.

I love tainting this thread with my anime nonsense.

I had to send Puppeteer back without finishing it. Beyond is more of a priority. I have to get it on launch day.

I used to watch a bunch of anime things. I like Cowboy Bebop, GitS, FLCL, and GL. Basically all that fringe popular stuff.

Now I really only keep up with One Piece, but just the manga nowadays (anime went to shit). Basically everyone should read One Piece.

I read Naruto still and I think it's okay. I loved it when I was a kid. Bleach is just horrible. I can't get over the ridiculous power differences. How is it possible that Ichigo is part hallow, part Shinigami, part quincy, and part fullbring and Kenpatchi has NOTHING and he still fight enemies just as strong as Inchigo's. Ichigo kicked his ass way back when he only had a shikai. It's ridiculous.

Like a good long Persona game, you reach a point where you actually start wishing there was more. There's slow parts, but I'd say any patience required is always rewarded in the most satisfying way possible.

Take the dive. Do it.

So has it been discussed why every anime in general has a beach/bath house episode? I've seen hundred of shows and unless if it's a slice of life there's a 70% chance there's this episode. Make it about high school and it jumps to 99%.

Even P3 and P4 had these. P4 had the double winner though and went with both bath house AND beach (at least in P4G). I understand these are for fan service but it's getting to the point where I dread watching another show if I know I'm gonna have to watch the same reactions over and over again.

I love Berserk. If this was a manga list, Berserk would be number one.

I was talking about the Naruto anime. The first Naruto anime followed the manga but then went into filler for ~150 episodes. I watched it when I didn't know better and dropped it about 30 filler episodes in. That just soured all of Naruto for me. I picked up the manga though and that's still decent at least.

This just turned into a husbando war, and I'm not even into husbandos, like at all. You're all heathens. Yosuke is likeable from the start, unlike Junpei, and ends as your brother in arms best friend. Dare I say it, Yosuke is my favorite character in Persona 4 after Anime Yu Narukami.

Even Avatar The Last Airbender, a show about a desperate war against a totalitarian dictatorship filled with martial arts and burning people in which the fate of the planet is at stake, has a beach episode.

It's fantastic because it's from the pov of people from the totalitarian dictatorship and how rad their lives are since they conquered the planet

I'm guessing the Japanese think it's funny? It is absolutely fucking annoying though. The moment I saw a hot spring in P4G I immediately skipped that nonsense in the first 2 seconds.

Opinion over the films? I see they get a lot of flack over the 3d animation and skipping certain fan-favorite parts, but I gotta say that considering they had to retell that whole arc in 3 movies, all of them around 90 minutes on average, they did a fantastic job. Though I've been warning my friends that Berserk actually gets a bit more light hearted as it goes on. Though the comedy and little witch father/daughter relationship grew on me.

Agreed, that beach episode is fantastic because it doesn't focus on fan service as much as humor and character development.

Also let me say that I love you for having my waifu as your avatar. I've convinced so many people to buy a 3DS for FEA.

I treated the Persona 4 Anime as a supplement to the scenes in Persona 4 that aren't anime cutscenes, that adds a whole bunch of needless comic fluff. And that was EXACTLY what I wanted.

Hey now, my list of awesome people for P4 goes Yu -> Yosuke -> Teddie == Kanji -> Nanako ->Dojima == Chie -> Naoto -> Adachi -> Rise -> Yukiko

He's ranked third on a cast full of awesome people that I like every last one of, that isn't a bad place to be at all.
