What does it mean?

Ker-SCHWING!

Travis' beam katana should've been a bonus weapon in P3P because reasons.

Also, I guess it's obligatory to link this whenever No More Heroes is mentioned.

Re: The demon next to her

Remind of you anyone?

It's good ole Belphegor!
Sure is! Suitably enough you fight them in a public toilet.
Wait... how do you pronounce that? Ixquic

Icks - kew - Ik?

Icks quick?
Japanese phonetics sound it out as something similar to "Ishkick". It's taken from the Mayan mythological figure Xquic since she believes herself to be a reincarnation of a Mayan warrior and dresses as one, there's a lot of references to Mayan mythology in P2.

What does it mean?

"chomechome time"

From what I can figure out with some googling, it's self-censorship, like saying "blankety-blank" or "beep." So she's literally saying something like "Redacted Time!"

Note that I only know enough Japanese to get myself into trouble, so take it as you may.

Edit: Oh wow, way late on this one.

So you know the word baka and the word gaijin?

It's quick.

Lol, always quick with a reply.

Thanks! Fascinating, I was just looking at that wiki article. One of my favorite things about the Persona series; looking up the history behind all these "demons" and finding out they range from monsters of folk lore, ancient deities, and other neat things from various cultures.

Yeah, there's tonnes of references to Mayan mythology in P2. Without knowing any of it the game would still be cool but once you read up on it, it's even more interesting.

Definitely, I've learned so much just playing through P3 and P4 googling whatever Personas I have equipped. All very interesting stuff. Is that why the protagonist's name is Maya? Or is that more of a tongue in cheek reference.

There is a very crucial reason. Spoilers, I'll stop at that.

howlongtobeat.com gives P1 an average of 30 hours, P2IS 37.5, and P2:EP 60.

Which is insane. I can't imagine EP taking 60 hours unless you played reeeeally slowly. I'd say IS is around 20-30, and EP around 30-35. Combined they basically make one average (long) JRPG length.

Hmm, 30, and 37.5 hours seems reasonable. I like that EP is almost as long as both of the other games combined.

I like your estimates more.

EP has a much smaller polling average than the others, which plays into it a bit I imagine. I mean they only go off of the numbers that people enter, so a small number can swing things one way or the other pretty drastically.

Persona 1 took me 23 hours, though I got the bad ending and saved over my save file before I could rectify my dialogue choice.

Persona 2: Innocent Sin (portable) took me around 38 hours.

Persona 2: Eternal Punishment took me 46 hours.

Mm, I guess my estimates were low. Still less than 60 hours for EP though! :p

EP takes the longest for it has the most content of the three PS1 persona games, it has story itself, sidequests, ancestral personas , the casino(which is actually better than IS version), two optional party members to choose from.with different sub stories from each, and an extra dunegon after you finish both Nate's and Ellen's routes, with a bonus boss at the end. There is just a lot of content in EP really, which made it a lot of fun to go through.
No, you posted the best version. The Wedding Singer is one of my favorite Adam Sandler movies.
Happy Gilmore is still my favorite Adam Sandler movie

Adam Sandler Vs. Bob Barker, The Price is wrong, b**ch
That scene is hilarious.

Interesting P4A2 tidbit that someone pointed out:

When a character wins, they are illuminated with a P-1 Climax spotlight and confetti starts falling everywhere while the winning character gets photographed a bunch with flashing cameras. Every character has this happen, except for Sho and Persona Sho. When they win, nothing happens and it just fades to black.
