Avatar is to be decided but some of the options are already pretty good, anyone saying a team name and not opting out is in, you'll have to keep your avatar for one month after the release date is confirmed.

They did a lot of these kind of improvements to Persona 4 Golden. The game was noticeably lacking in the casual dialogue that was present all throughout Persona 2 and Persona 3. It's a lot better for it too.

Finally started playing the story mode of P4AU specifically the P4A part that I purchased. Only completed Yu's story to the cliff hanger glad to see I don't need to do finishing moves or intentionally lose certain fights to get 100% in this game. It's also really nice to be back in the world of Persona 4 and see some of the Persona 3 characters again but the story while okay falls flat due to only having 1 original character to work with in Labrys.

If we're talking about the main cast of Persona 4, I'd rate the quality as such:

1. Kanji
2. Rise
3. Naoto
4. Yukiko
5. Chie
6. Marie
7. Yosuke
8. Teddie

Thoughts: Kanji was handled very well IMO, and I loved how Rise's character and story tackled things we don't usually see in a "they had/lost it all" kind of scenario.

Too often is Rise's character downgraded to "the clingy girl with a big sex drive and a strip-tease dungeon/boss" - she's so much more than that. In the same vein, too often is Kanji degraded to "that closeted gay character who turns into a walking gay joke." He, too, is so much more than that.

Similarly, if I was making a rating regarding the quality of the cast in Persona 3, then it'd look like so:

3. Junpei
4. Shinjiro
5. Yukari
6. Akihiko
7. Fuuka
8. Koromaru
9. Ken

Thoughts:

Mitsuru's loss and Aigis' unique "learning to live" make them my favorite characters in the game. Junpei's story of growing up also stands out. In general I like the P3 cast more than the P4 cast.
