I said it when they announced Sea of Thieves and whatever, the default now is their games coming to PlayStation. Proven with Indiana Jones. But Avowed and all the rest will in 2025.

I doubt they will bother with Shitfinite because it's old and everyone hates it. But the next one for sure. Shartfield, not so sure anymore because the DLC went over like a lead balloon.

It is. I lost 60 pounds in a few months when my wife and I decided to call it quits after 20 years together.
Understandable. Life really sucks sometimes. Hope you’re at a better spot now.
I dropped from 85 kg down to 77 in a couple months from stress when my wife got cancer (she’s well now) and even that made me look almost sick.
If I had a muscle build I would look ripped I guess…

But no muscles here unfortunately!

I might not mind them buying a mobile studio or two, or a core gaming studio like Certain Affinity (who already have a history with Halo). But I'd absolutely detest them buying yet another games publisher; they haven't actually shown what they can do to grow/improve Zenimax or ABK, and still have near $80 billion to recoup in having purchased those two publishers.

Satya & Brad won't be up for more publisher M&As for at least half a decade, probably even longer. And, technically, MS already have all the studios they need to be "competitive". They should be able to make a new hit mobile franchise with the teams already under them. They sold their pitch in buying ABK as the "big one" they'd need to be competitive, so that excuse is retired.

As for the multiplatform stuff, well that's been obvious to anyone who isn't an Xbox fanboy. A while ago I was thinking they'd got full multiplat by EOY 2025; it might be a bit later than that, but within the next 2 years I can definitely see games like Gears E-Day, Perfect Dark etc. targeting Day 1 on PS5, and games like Everwild (if it's even still alive) targeting Switch 2 Day 1 and maybe mobile.

You are supposed to follow the leader, not the loser.
I think he is trying to say that if Xbox is successful with the moves they are making, it will only be a matter of time for Sony to follow. Sony isn't going to abandon the strategy that has been working for them, not without reason, of-course and he put somewhat of a spin on that ("...drag their heels"), but personally, if Xbox does find success in pivoting like this, it should not surprise anyone that the others will also adapt. It's just how things are.

It's like Jez Corden is a fucking curse. Everytime he pushes out a positive article about Xbox, some random interview with some "Microsoft Gaming" exec comes out and we're back to ground zero again. Guy can't seem to catch a break.

How doable would be the next gen Xbox consoles being full compatible with Windows? I mean of course they can go full third party, and it´s 90% sure they will, but still releasing their own hardware like: with the optmization and competitive price of consoles, but with the advantages of Windows game ecosystem (and even Steam compatible). They could also bet for a Series S/X model again, where the next Series S will be the most affordable next gen system (and also the less powerful), like today, in which you can enjoy for less the hottest multiplattform games available on Windows (incluiding the PlayStation PC ports) and a next Series X which would be a serious premium console for enthusiast but providing the best tech possible on console segment...Something like the first Xbox was back in early 00s and what should have been the PS5 Pro...Something they can charge for even $800 or more, but which could deliver an experience similar to a way more expensive PCs. How possible this is?

That’s not true. They trade wins. The problem are not the machines, is the management.
They have a console with the upper hand in raw power, by a significant margin, but can only trade wins. Which reinforces my view that there’s a hardware issue.

100% true. The XSX is a great console and anyone claiming otherwise is probably trolling at this point. As you say, the issue is not the console, but the management. There's no real reason to buy an Xbox console anymore, since all games will eventually be multi platform, as evidenced by this interview, though.
It is poorly designed though, they’ve made a console that costs them more money to manufacture than a PS5. The bench marks are in their favour but they can’t actually harness this. How are any of those facts trolling?

So why spend a year and a half of your life console warring, I don’t get get it?

You’ve been here since May of last year and your at 6,000 post six thousand posts???!!
Then you proclaim that you don’t want Halo on PlayStation?? What the fuck and to top it off, NOTHING in Xbox’s library is not impressive?

I guess the only question left is who were you before May of 2023….
I was @psyko_dad, if that's what you're asking. Been here since like 2014 originally, or something like that.

So I'm actually wayyyyy past 6K posts. 😘

Besides, Xbox is a 3rd party publisher, so there's no consolewarring.
I want Halo and Gears on PlayStation.

Sometimes I'm not sure about PS when it comes to their PC strategy. It is very strange. Like why is MLB the show not on there? Why is GT not on there? Some stuff just doesn't make sense to me with the way they are releasing these games. I don't even think PC has a big baseball game and it's already on Xbox.
Because console sales are still incredibly important to Sony. That’s why there are very few day/date games and why they still push an exclusive catalogue, even at a duration.

Also, The Sow being on Xbox wasn’t Sony’s call.

And that turned out to be a nothinburger. Me thinks, you won’t even be consolable when Gears and Halo are announced for PlayStation. And no Xbox fans batted an eye when their game(s) started appearing on PlayStation? Ah, so I get it now! That’s how you cope!

If there were good exclusives you’d care two shits about what is making it slow. It’s a good performance machine at a competitive price.

So I wonder if we'll see day and date on PS5 or a timed delay. One things for sure. It'll be quite the moment when Halo and GEARS arrive.

As much as I lost the will with Starfield on XSX after 40+ hrs. It would be interesting to see a Pro Enhanced version with PSSR.

l reckon I'll always be keeping my XSX though, simply for some BC stuff. When I think how excited I was at the beginning of the gen and to where we are now though...

I’m curious, where are these posts? I’m always up for a good showing of Hyperbole on Wednesdays!

Thank you Herman Hulst
Shit the fuck?

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME

That game was awful but I guess it’s good that more people can experience the bore that it was.

why are you paying for timed exclusives if you're just going to give them our games herman you RETARDDDDDDDDDDD

"Mr. Hulst, I don't feel so good..."

As inflammatory as this may sound, this is most definitely not a release/title for the usual MS/Xbox crowd mate - I can already see the 1-star reviews on the Xbox store with gems like "LOL what is this ?"/"LOL NOT EVEN A REAL GAME"/"HAHA KOJIMA IS A HACK"/"WALKING SIM LOOOL".
This was already a divisive game on the PS ffs, imagine it being on Xbox where most of the users' attention span has dropped to that of a hamster due to Game pass and the need/dopamine rush for the the "new game of the week" only to played for 15 minutes max as to go to the next, even newer/shinier title.

It is what it is unfortunately

Kojima has shot himself in the foot lol

Sony now feeding those is need.

Enjoy your package delivering simulator!

Grounded ain't trash though. Neither is sea of Thieves
Trash is a little rough. Irrelevant gamepass quality AA games that mean nothing to me personally, I'll accept it.

You know why I'm a little mad about grounded? It just felt to me, at the time, like my worst fears came true. MS bought Obsidian and instead of making New Vegas 2, which they could have made, they put out Grounded, which is basically Honey I Shrunk the Kids: The Game, which is some bullshit for me when I wanted New Vegas 2.

Now I know that for a plethora of reasons I'm being completely unreasonable.

But that doesn't matter, you will never get me to be excited for Grounded my man. It's already ruined for me.

I know the Show wasn't Sony's call but you'd think being forced to do Xbox would just make them say fuck it might as well add PC.

not a single Xbox fan is batting an eye.

Start with Dench and scroll on down. You also highlight some obvious jest posts, but took the bait because, well, you’re looking for a 1:1. Unfortunately for you, we’ll be playing Gears on PlayStation long before Kratos or Ratchet are Jumpin’ In!

That’s where I am.
If FF XIII, Nier Automata, and Xcom2 got a PS5 Pro patch and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance got a port I could see selling my Xbox.

All these people talk shit about not buying a console for one game. I bought my XSX for FF XIII, Nier Automata, Xcom2 and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance just cuz they play a little better(or at all) than ps5.

Of course there aren't any red lines when your main business is operating as a third party publisher. Why wouldn't they want to release games on the most popular platforms? From an income generation perspective it's wild to even consider not doing it in their position.

Yeah. I prepaid Gamepass because I assumed I would get the best launch window ever when everything from MS would be on Gamepass and I would have so many games to play.
But they had nothing new and big there! There was Hivebusters I guess. Don’t remember anything else.

The console hardware itself, build quality, noise, etc, is fantastic though. And framerate boost on BC titles was nice.

I can’t imagine that them immediately violating the promises they made to regulators after buying activision will do them many favours with future acquisitions. In the US, it probably won’t be a problem after Trump is in, I wouldn’t be surprised if the regulatory agencies are completely shut down. But any larger studio purchase would curry the pissed off eyes of European regulators

You're projecting, not a single Xbox fan is batting an eye. That's an image of Playstation fans when Death Stranding was announced and released for Xbox. :messenger_winking_tongue:

The signs were there for a year and Xbox fans were in denial.

"He's talking about Call of Duty"
"He's talking about games like Elder Scrolls Online"
"It's just small games."
"It's just multiplayer games."
"It's just 4 games."

Not batting an eye? I doubt it after many have denied it for so long.

Later during the Update, he clearly states more games could come if it makes sense.
That's basic PR for 'any game is on the table after a certain time-window'.

Not to be argumentative, but there's a big difference between saying "other games [beyond the 4] could come if it makes sense" and what he has said here - that no game is off the table, followed in the next breath by mention of Halo, the best-known core pillar Xbox exclusive.

You said it's "basic PR" that the first means the second, but I don't think so. The first is a much more guarded statement. Here he is saying, "Everything is on the table, including Halo, Gears, Forza, and everything else you might name." If he had said THAT back in February, the internet would've gone wild. But he didn't. He was much more cautious, tip-toeing around.

I wasn't the one who posted the crying meme. It was a mere clap back, so why are you so triggered? Posting a crying meme about a comment that Phil made is childish and deserving of a clap back.

Do as your name and Walk away.
