I think it hinges on whether you feel that getting a drink thrown on you is assault or not, and whether doing it to prevent a rape has merit or not.
Well what was the nature of her charge? Was she in a fight with someone? Did she go up to some random bystander and attack them out of nowhere? Was the other person charged as well? Either way, I find it unlikely she was out jonesing to get in another fight that night.
He however was out to go pick up women, and considering his attempts to corner someone in an empty bar and his well-known attitudes about women and the value of their personal safety? Yeah. Splash him a few more times and shove him out of a few more bars.
