I don't think I would publish any comics until I fixed the head and neck.
Often, popular manga are started by people who really have no drawing ability, or very little. They just have a story, or an idea, and they do their best to get it across. The culture is far more acception of the art, as long as the story is interesting - and as time goes by, the mangaka that continue to draw get better. The start of Hajime no Ippo is so bad, art wise, but now, almost 24 years later, well. Much better, and still going.
The culture around comics is very different in Japan compared to the West.
